HOTEL CASA DE LAS COLUMNAS Mérida, Yucatán; México

The project consisted of modifying one of the rooms near the dining area to convert it into the hotel's interior restaurant. Likewise, another of the rooms near the entrance could be modified and given a new use; the proposal was a souvenir store.

Proposal

Yellow is the color that defines the tonalities and textures of the space; we seek to offer a space with warm colors, taking up the style of the houses of Merida, the "carpet" tile and the fretwork.

DELIVERISI OFFICES Guadalajara, Jalisco; México

Deliverisi is a company dedicated to deliver fruits and vegetables. They required a space where the different workers of the company could coexist; that is to say, the administration area and the delivery people. This involves the following spaces: office, small reception, restrooms and terrace for relaxation and food consumption.

We tried to maximize an area to offer different spaces. Also through the use of light materials such as glass and wood slats we tried to create divisions to achieve privacy between one space and another.

Project Moodboard

Bedroom: Typology 1

We proposed a design for the rooms that integrates details of the typical decoration of the houses in Merida; the fretwork is distinctive and characteristic of the area. Also, the colors are light-toned to take advantage of the light that enters through the small windows.

Bedroom: Typology 2

Some of them, like this room, have a desk to be able to work during your stay in the lodging. Likewise, all of them have a bathroom.

Proposal: Previously, the washer and dryer were located inside the utility room; in the proposal, it is proposed that this furniture be located in a roofed space outside the utility room, but with natural ventilation that allows the flow and entry of natural air into the room.

Hall

Kitchen and dining room at the back; living room at the front In the main area we proposed to have the spaces that correspond to: living room, dining room and kitchen. Light colors were used to make the apartment look more spacious and luminous than it really is. We wanted to contrast the neutral tones of the walls and floor with an olive green on the wall where the only window is located. It is worth mentioning that the orientation of the window is west.

Proposal: The apartment has only one bedroom so it was decided that it would be bedroom study. This is to take advantage of the space and exploit its functionality.

HABITACIÓN NAUCALPAN Naucalpan, Estado de México; México

The user, a doctor about to enter his specialty, wanted a room in which he could study, recreate and sleep. A space where the walls could be used to leave the floor free so that order prevailed; easy to clean and tidy; and finally an aesthetically pleasing place to comfort him when he returned from work.

Proposal: The space was divided to be multifunctional through the furniture. To divide the access to the bedroom from the rest space, a bookcase was placed; to separate the study and recreation space from the rest space, the frame that creates a natural division was used; and these last two were unified through the carpet.
