Tablets in Schools Despite the increase in the numbers of computers in schools, various surveys still show that hands-on access for students remains limited. Allowing students to play with, and explore new tools could enhance their motivation to think, understand, learn and conceptualise in creative ways.

It is argued that giving tablet devices to children in school enhances learning, and promotes the ability to perform student led exploration and research. Tablets offer a faster, easier, cost effective and more manageable route to giving every child in school access to the best and most up-todate educational content. Studies have also shown that digital learning for children are very effective and can hone critical-thinking skills; help teach academic curricula, while also evaluating what students learn.

A recent report found that most American schools are testing tablet devices. Emerging economies in Asia and Eastern Europe have also announced the adoption of tablets in schools, including South Korea, India, Kazakhstan and Turkey. Trials have already begun to explore the benefits for children’s learning through the use of tablets in France, Japan, Singapore and Australia.

While it is true that mobile learning presents exciting opportunities, designing and deploying mobile learning requires thoughtful consideration, not a one size fits all approach. Deployment in Africa is even particularly challenging due to the state of infrastructure and the cost of implementation and maintenance.

A teacher can enable instant grading of course work for assignments in multiple choice question or fill-in-the-blanks format.

Grades.

Full course curriculum.

Students can find out how they performed on their class work, homework assignment, tests or exams. They’ll even be sent a Push Notification as soon as an assignment or test has been graded. Gone are the days of students waiting around wondering if their grade has been posted. Parents are also sent an automatic notification if they elect to receive one.

The system will contain your full course curriculum, teachers’ notes, course exercise bank, past exam question papers, discussion boards, uploaded documents etc.
