BRIEFS Teen’s body found at Graham Swamp The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a body found floating in the water in Graham Swamp on Sept. 28. Detectives were not able to immediately identify him because it appeared the body had been in the water for several days. Based on their preliminary investigation, detectives believe the body is likely that of 18-year-old Giovanne Sylvain, who was reported missing from his home in Palm Coast on Sunday, Sept. 27. Matanzas High School Principal Jeff Reaves sent a phone message Sept. 28 to the school community, saying that a student had died. He encouraged parents to talk to their children and understand that everyone grieves differently. Counselors will be available for all students who need to talk to someone, he said.
