EXECUTIVE EDITOR
Travis Roland has been hired as the new head football coach at Mainland High School, where he was previously a player and assistant coach. He most recently coached Flagler Palm Coast High School, since being hired in 2016. He will continued coaching FPC for two more months before making the switch. “Thank you, Coach,” Flagler Schools tweeted on April 9. “We know how hard that pull to go ‘home’ is. Thank you for all you’ve done for the FPCHS Bulldog FAMILY.” Soshanah Mercado tweeted: “I’m so sad! Those kids got through some major trauma because of you. Not just this year either. I’ve so admired the way you fostered the very best out of every kid. But, FPC will always be your Family so this isn’t goodbye. We’ll be seeing you Coach.”
