BRIEFS Volusia Live will be offered in the spring Volusia Live will be offered for students this upcoming spring semester, Volusia County Schools announced on Monday afternoon. The news came after the updated emergency order was announced by the governor. Aside from Volusia Live, students can also choose Volusia Online Learning for the second semester, or return to a traditional classroom.

YOUR TOWN ORMOND BEACH POLICE’S ‘GRINCH-BUSTERS’ TOY DRIVE COLLECTS 100 TOYS The Ormond Beach Police Department collected about 100 toys during its first Grinch-busters toy drive on Friday, Nov. 27. These included seven bicycles, and additionally, several cash and gift card donations. The police department set out with the goal to fill its mineresistant, armored-protective vehicle, also known as an MRAP. All donations will go to the Ormond Beach Police Athletic League and the department’s outreach division. The next toy drive will be at Academy Sports and Outdoors at the Tomoka Town Center, 1511 Cornerstone Blvd., between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5.
