YOUR TOWN VOLUSIA’S SOAA AWARD RECIPIENT Tomoka Elementary’s School Way Café manager was recently recognized as Volusia County Schools and the FUTURES Foundation’s 2020 Superintendent’s Outstanding Achievement Award school-based recipient. Robyn Trosan greets each student in the cafeteria and becomes a positive part of their day, said Tomoka Elementary Principal Dr. Julie Roseboom when nominating Trosan, according to the press release. Trosan has worked for VCS for 27 years.

Monday, Aug. 31, marked the start of a new school year for Volusia students. “Xavier Guerra is excited to start fourth grade at Ormond Beach Elementary using Volusia Live. “OBE is the place to be,” said his mother, Vanessa Sterbenz.
