Red Dog

The Red Dog race hill is a challenging track with a variety of flat, steep and fall away pitches that will test the world’s best FIS Alpine Ski racers.

It flows down the mountain with direction changes and a mix of terrain.

Out of the start it will be full attack to build speed going into the top flat before the drop into Upper Dog Leg. This is a blind roll over onto a steep pitch with a compression below. It benches out then leads into a mini pitch heading into the lower dog leg with a bank on the skiers right. From there it feeds into the lower pitch that falls away to the right demanding a nice touch on the left ski and full power on the right footed turns. The hill tries to pull you to the right and it’s relentless down the bottom pitch to the finish.

The Village at Palisades Tahoe is a 4-season destination with condominium style lodging, centrally located at the base of Palisades. With over 50 shops and restaurants, The Village also hosts a variety of entertainment, live music and festivals throughout the year.
