2026 Fees
ONE SEMESTER (TWO TERMS)
• Tuition Fee includes: School text books on loan, ESOL tuition if required, Yr 9 School Camp, Consumables for Tech & Art subjects and participation in school sports teams regular season.
• The Administration Fee is payable on enrolment/re-enrolment. It is non-refundable.
• Homestay Fees must be paid in full in advance to Pakūranga College This payment can be used as proof of funds if required for the student visa application. Weekly homestay fee includes : accommodation and meals with homestay family, reasonable use of power, water, internet connection and other utilities. If a student requires a special diet there may be a need to pay a higher weekly homestay fee.
• Homestay Moves : if it is determined that a student would be more suited to another homestay family environment, there is no charge if it is the first move. Subsequent moves at the request of the student/parents where the host family have met requirements will incur a fee of $200.
• Medical & Travel Insurance is compulsory for the duration of the student’s course. Student Safe International Student Insurance Cover is quoted. Insurance fees are subject to change by the insurance provider. For more information please visit : StudentSafeNZ Insurance fees are calculated on exact dates and my therefore differ slightly from these estimates.
• Student Arrival/Departure Transfers will be arranged by the school for all new students. Any applicable fees will be communicated in advance. Returning students are required to make their own arrangements.
NB: Increases in the homestay fee dictated by the market may occur and will be advertised accordingly.

Subject Fees Some practical subjects have a charge for materials or workbooks used.
Course Fees
Outdoor Education fees: approx. $450 - $1,000 per year.
$383.30 NZQA Course Fees for Levels 2 & 3 (Years 12-13) must be paid annually
Competitions Students will have the opportunity to enter national competitions. Typically, these are in Mathematics, Science, English and Chemistry. These have their own entry fees.
Sports Tournaments If students are chosen to participate in Sports Tournaments there may be extra costs incurred
PEO Trips (optional)
Stationery
Day field trips to Art Galleries, Historic Sites etc. - some costs may apply. Some subjects have extended camps as part of their fieldwork. Costs will vary.
Approximately $100 per year (dependent on chosen subjects)
Uniform For Years 9 – 12 students. Approximately $350 to $400 (second-hand uniforms are also available at a lower cost).
Textbooks Supplied on loan free of charge (but there will be a charge if books are lost or damaged)
EQUIPMENT
Pakūranga College is a digital school and students will require either a laptop, iPad or Tablet for all subjects. Mathematics students are required to use a scientific calculator.

Fees Protection
Pakūranga College has a Fee Protection policy to safeguard the fees paid by International Students, in the unlikely event that the school may not be able to commence or continue to deliver tuition to the international student. The School’s Board of Trustees guarantees to hold in reserve sufficient funds to meet the requirements of any refund in these circumstances.
