Did you stumble upon your career or was it something that you always wanted? Fashion designing has always been something that I have enjoyed all my life. For me, designing is more like catharsis and I have always been finding ways to express my creativity through different means. It is my vital course of action for ultimate rejoices.

Did you ever consider or experience a career change? As I said before, I find Fashion designing therapeutic hence what is better than doing a job that does not only help you grow stronger as a person but you enjoy it too immensely. Did you ever feel discouraged mid-way your routine? How did you push through it? This is a “Never have I ever” kind of a situation in my case, I take discouragements as a challenge and seek my way through it only to come out stronger than before. Also, I have always had a very strong support system and it makes me feel content with whatever I have.

Describe a typical day in your life? My day starts with a healthy breakfast with my family early in the morning. After being a boss I have realized that you cannot make everyone happy. What you like cannot be liked by everyone and that has made me

Even though her profession is not linked to fashion, I feel she is the kind of inspiration for boss lady! What advice would you give to young girls who look upto you and have goals and dreams like you? I would advise all aspiring designers to try to start from scratch because it helps in developing your own ideas and a signature style from the very beginning, which is important in order to succeed in the rapidly growing fashion industry.

Tell us a little about Team Ethereal. What made you decide to take the path in the beauty/hair sector? Team Ethereal is much older than Ethereal itself actually. On the question of what made us choose beauty sector, well, as far as Junaid is concerned, the man is a born genius when it comes to the art of beautifying humanity. In my case, on the other hand, I think it was not me who chose the beauty sector; in fact, the beauty sector chose me. I was previously working with Junaid and I saw how passionate he was about his work, And, as if by some divine intervention, it occurred to us that a project of mutual interest where we could unite our energies could be of great utility to both of us. And thence was born the Ethereal, beginning our journey in the beauty sector. What is the concept behind your salon, Ethereal? Ethereal is more than just a salon. Our team is not a collection of diversified people who just happen to land in beauty sector. Quite the contrary, actually. Ethereal is a salon, a classroom, a laboratory, a school where we aim to not merely makeup our clients but showcase the brilliance of our talented team members who have spent their lifetime in perfecting the art of human aesthetics. The idea is to provide top services, state of the art facilities, a well-groomed staff, and most significantly, customer satisfaction. We make sure that we send them home with a little more than they had expected. What are the pros and cons of being a a salon owner? Pros, of course, are that we get to live our dreams. As I said, Ethereal team members are people who are in this business because beautifying people is what they love to do - every day! So it’s about internal satisfaction. Also, we get to meet some tremendous people everyday. It’s a sheer joy to welcome people to our home, Ethereal. Cons, I think, would include the fact that it’s an extremely demanding business. There is no time schedule. You get up, and your first thought is where you left the work last night. So it’s hectic. Is it hard to juggle between work and personal life? Yes, of course. But, I think, families with both working parents and families with, conventionally speaking, males as breadwinners, tend to develop their own normals. So, my kids and my family has perhaps slightly different expectations from me, and I from them, than, say, as compared to families where only one parent works. My kids have evolved in a way that they accept work as a fact of life for both their parents. What is the best makeup advice you’d like to give our followers? The best makeup advice would be to firstly take care of your skin by following a proper skin care routine so that everyone is comfortable in their own skin and then just create whatever

look comes from within! Be artistic with makeup, use colours and follow your heart! Be daring! Any beauty/hair trend you that want to die out this season? A beauty trend that I would want to die out this season would be winged eyeliner for sure! We at ethereal prefer a beautifully smoked out black eyeliner that makes your beautiful eyes pop! Any advice for a junior you? Or someone in the same field as you? Pursue your passion. Never pick a field because it is more mainstream or has ‘more scope’. When you follow your passion, you create your own scope; in fact, you are the scope. Do you plan on opening up another branch? Well, who doesn’t like empires? Haha. Well, yes, if the fate permitted, why not. Lastly, where do you see Ethereal salon in another 5 years? Tips? Super location , extremely cheap and beautiful souvenirs. You just have to do the shopping on your own as the tour company only takes you to super expensive places and they are extremely patriotic for their own people. So do your research, hit the streets, there is no crime, they are good people who gave Americans their Waterloo in the Vietnam war. We can learn a lesson or two from them. they are poor but hard working, organized and do super marketing. An emerging market to look out for.
