in conversation with the talented hussain rehar, a young fashion designer who took the industry by strom with his brilliant collection! What first drew you to fashion designing? I always had an eye for fashion and wanted to dress people up. I came to Lahore to fulfil my dream and after working at Elan for a year, i knew it was time i started my own thing. Where do you derive your inspiration from? Our constant source of inspiration is nature with a bit of its wild side. We try to create fantasies of our own which reflect the imagination and its fascinations. Are they any particular art movements that inspire you? Can you walk us through the process of developing your pieces? After the theme is finalised, we get down to the mood boards from which the designs are derived. Once the design is conceived and the fabrics are selected, then we decide the colours and work placements which then are taken into sampling. Once the sampling is done we take it to the adda for embellishments and then it goes into the stitching department. Who would you say is your mentor? Khadija Shah. Tell us about your favourite creation by far? The Aquamarine jacket is my favourite creation so far.
fulfilling moment in your career so far? Launching my own studio where all the fashion elites came in and appreciated the collection. Do you plan on showcasing your collection at fashion weeks? Yes Inshaa Allah from next year we are planning on showcasing our collections at Fashion Week. Are there any upcoming collections we should be excited for? Yes our Fall Winter collection will be a total head turner along with the bridals. Our readers would like to know a little about you? I am 23 years old fashion designer who is new in this fashion industry. I love to stylize things in different ways and want to empower women through my design aesthetics. What do you do on Sunday's? Hangout with friends or watch movies. What advice would you give to a younger you? Be yourself and try to build your own identity. Lastly, where do you see Hussain Rehar in 5 years? I see myself expanding my business all over the country.

Ravayat
Known for leaving people mesmerised, his collection ‘Ravayat’ inspired by the splendour and opulence of a timeless traditional bride. With classic hand woven embroidery in luxe fabrics, each and every outfit was crafted as a piece of art and echoed of majesty with silver embellishments.
deepak perwani gold dust Drawing from the heritage of our sub-continent, Deepak Perwani presented ‘Gold Dust’, a collection of exquisite bride and grooms wear that is effortlessly timeless, with a nod to modernism in the cuts and melange of colours. The collection entailed tailored sherwanis and regal lehenga cholis, which, paired with jewellery by Sherezad, created a wave of nostalgia from the past. 50

SANA sana safinaz
The Sana Safinaz, finale collection was an exquisite visual monologue and showcased a revival of floral elements. A tantalizingly delicate yet deliberately powerful collision in a showcase of contemporary bridal couture with a distinctive western aesthetic resulted in a collection that was breathtakingly provocative. The audience walked into a set that gave a nod to forest, with faux trees and boulders and shrubbery incorporated onto the runway.

A MONSOON
WEDDING Their latest formal/ bridal collection, 'A Monsoon Wedding' was a combination of fresh contemporary patterns and silhouettes. The colour pallete used was a mix of pastels with rich jewels and printed florals that gave a fresh, new look. Most of their ensembles had dexterous use of metallic tassels and coloured thread work with intricate mosaic borders.

ace mua hira bilal talks about some of her favourite makeup products for that sun-kissed glow!
HIRA BILAL
Dior Glow Maximizer: I LOVE this product! I often like to mix it with my foundation for a healthy glow. The subtle gleam it gives off is great. It also acts like a primer so that’s a plus point! Giorgio Armani Luminous silk foundation: This foundation looks so pretty and natural on the skin. The texture is smooth and has buildable coverage. Love the dewy finish & its super lightweight, which is great. NARS radiant creamy concealer: Ideal for brightening under the eyes. It has great coverage for concealing any blemishes too! Benetint by Benefit: I absolutely love using Benetint as a cheek stain. It gives a very rosy, flushed look which is super pretty & adds dimension to the face. Makeup For Ever micro-finish translucent powder: This is one of my makeup must-haves. It sets foundation/concealer flawlessly. I like to dust some over any blemishes I’ve concealed as it helps the makeup stay put throughout the day. It also keeps the shine/oil in control. Clinique Sculpting Highlight chubby stick: This is one of my most beloved highlighters! Its cream based and settles beautifully into the skin without looking chunky. I use it on my cheekbones, tip of my nose, cupid’s bow, inner corners & brow bone to get that extra polish that I need!

planes, trains & automobiles
Travelling is great fun. You get to explore a new place, meet new people and get wiser! We want to know more and will share with you exciting travel stories from a few special people in our section, planes, trains & automobiles! Where did you choose to go and why? “Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.
Where did you stay? We booked a hostel to live. We met two students who hosted us all the while we were there. These students were super amazing.
Traveling is magic and not everyone is able to experience it in their lives. Fortunately for me, I got the opportunity to travel when I got accepted into an exchange program in Ilmenau, Germany, this year. While at Ilemenau, I got to travel to several other European countries as well., but i am just going to talk about Prague, Czech Republic
What are the best shopping spots there? The walking street of Prague next to castle has the best shopping spots! You can find things which are going to amaze you like anything! You'll feel the ancient times era while walking through the street and shopping.
Who did you travel with? I was accompanied by two of my friends. It was my first international tour that actually changed my life. I had seen these places in movies and I was reallly excited to see them in reality!
Suggest some amazing restaurants there? The best one is McDonald's! (Lol.) Jokes apart there are Restaurants, Bellevue and La Farista you actually need to visit them when you're in Prague. Well, i tried finding the restaurant which was shown in the movie 'The best Offer' but sadly

couldn't find it.
Suggest places for a perfect night out Walking street is the perfect place for a night out. Charles bridge is a great option too. You can also see many clubs and choose the one you want.

travel
What can you do over there to relax and unwind? Prague is a perfect place itself to relax. I can’t think of a very good desciption for it but the feeling sent butterflies fluttering through one’s gut. Plus, unlike the sleepy town of Ilmenau in Germany where I was living and studying, Prague was alive – one could really say that the city never slept.
travel diaries
Tell us about the sights noone should miss out on You should plan your vacation to Prague for at least a week because there is nothing that should be missed. Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Walking Street and boating Tour at the Charles bridge shouldn't be missed at all! I visited the Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, many museums, and took a long street walk. The walk seemed to take me back to the 1900s with the old streets and historical building.. This was only supplemented by the guards at the Prague Castle – just like in the movies they stood totally stiff, unmoving.
Finally, any tips? I will end with this quote by Mary Anne Radmacher, with which I can really relate: “I am not the same, having seen the moon shine on the other side of the world.” What I had briefly alluded was that while there I also got a chance to travel to different European countries. This time, I thought, I would tell the story of my travels through pictures! After the experience, I really think Pakistani students should apply to international conferences and attend them. It's a great oppurtunity to network, meet people and learn new things.

The good news is that while you'll wonder who that man behind the curtain is -- the one who's causing these strange and unusual things to fly out of your mouth -- you'll also receive such a happy reaction from your dear ones that you might end up sending him a thankyou note.SPONSORED LINK
You're not quite sure who the person on the phone is. Their voice sounds familiar, but they're just not talking the way your loved one talks to you. Whether it's a lover, a dear friend or a younger person who's contacted you, you'll probably ask them at least a dozen times if they're all right. Even if they tell you everything is fine, you'll still want to jump in your car to make sure in person.
Remember, last week, when you were saying something about being bored to tears? Well, that'll teach you, won't it? Obviously, the heavens were listening -- because that certainly won't be the case today. No, breaking up the monotony won't be on your list of things to do -- but then, you might as well scrap that list, first thing. Why set yourself up for disappointment?
You probably had a list to work on today, and as usual, you were planning to go through it one item at a time, crossing each off as you finished it. But a call, email or visit could quite easily have wreaked havoc on that list and on all your plans for the day. Will you mind? Not at all, if it's for a happy reason. You're way more inclined to spend time having fun. The laundry can wait.

Here we go again -- off to the races, so to speak. You're going to be a salesperson's delight. If it's unusual, odd or vaguely resembles something that no one else has, you'll be irresistibly attracted to it. Of course, since that's what your taste is like on a daily basis, this is a double whammy, and it's potent stuff. Oh, well. You've been good, right? And isn't it time to buy something for yourself? Not for someone else, for the house or for the dog? Sure it is.
When the phone rings today, you'll feel the urgency of its ring -- don't even bother questioning your instincts. You're right, and you know you're right. Your antennae don't ever let you down, now do they? But don't worry. All kinds of urgent situations abound, and as you know, some of them can involve some absolutely delightful emotions. Go ahead. Answer it. And don't forget to check your email.
A sudden change may be on the agenda, and you're already in a highly emotional state of mind -- and mood -- but you'll definitely get through it. You might even surprise yourself at just how easily you manage it. A dear one from afar could be the reason you're managing so well, but then again, they could also be the reason you're needing to manage. Do what you can to help, but don't forget your own needs in the process.
With any luck, you're rested and relaxed, because that probably won't be the case today. A most electric, unconventional day awaits you -- which might sound good to some folks but not to you. Well, there's only one thing to do. Find someone whose company you adore, and charm them into hiding out at your place. Hibernation can be a wonderful bonding experience -- especially if you have all the right equipment: food, drink, videos and the like. Get provisions before you double-bolt the door!

A message from afar is due to reach you soon and it's going to contain quite unsettling news. This doesn't mean the news will be bad -- only that it will be startling. If it's from someone you feel you haven't seen in much too long, don't be surprised if they've also come to that conclusion -- and if they're about to bridge the gap. Oh, and if it's an ex lover? Let them come to you.
To say that your companion for the day will be a bit erratic, impulsive and maybe even reckless, well, that won't quite cover the enormity of the situation. Their behavior may, in fact, be so far off the wall that you'll react in an equally unpredictable style -- if you're not careful. Desperate people do desperate things, while bored, rash people provoke impulsive actions. Don't be roped in if you don't want to be. Sit tight unless you're actually craving some melodrama.

You may have a very intense kind of day -- the kind that leaves you wondering just who you really are and what you're doing here. Well, you can stop wondering for now, anyway. You're here to provide entertainment, intelligent conversation and downright fun for your peeps. Now get out of that state of the blues, and come on back to the people who love you most.
Your plans for the day may change early this morning, but it won't bother you much. Of course, you're nothing if not versatile. What's really going to surprise you is how little it will also bother those you're canceling with. But since the heavenly lineup on duty at the moment is perfect for inspiring one and all to be flexible -- if not downright spontaneous -- it really makes sense. Go with the flow. It's the only thing to do.
