TUC & PCB UPLIFT DOMESTIC CRICKET IN PAKISTAN!

Cricket for Pakistani audience is a passion that cannot be confined into any particular tournament or match – it is a game that not only brings out the best in us, but it is also one that showcases our patriotism in the truest of ways.

D

espite this, the state of domestic cricket in Pakistan has never been very encouraging or at par with cricketing model in based top domestic leagues. To change that, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken multiple steps to restructure the domestic circuit. To support this progression, TUC has partnered with PCB, aiming at better preparing local players to compete on international fronts.

Becoming the Official Domestic Partner for Domestic Cricket, TUC is not only supporting the ongoing National T20 Cup but is also game for the soon-to-be-played Quaide-Azam Trophy 2020 as a Pakistan Cup. Sharing his thoughts on the partnership, PCB’s Director – Commercial, Babar Hamid said, ‘We are delighted to partner with leading brands of Pakistan for the domestic cricket season. TUC Biscuits have

supported cricket and its coming on-board again speaks volumes about its commitment to cricket which is of course the biggest passion of the nation’.

Rightfully so, TUC has built a legacy of supporting all-things Pakistani. For years now, the brand has never hesitated from putting its complete support behind the sport that is loved across the country.

Speaking on the topic, Director Marketing CBL Sami Wahid said: “TUC has always been a strong supporter of Pakistan’s biggest passion point – cricket. This partnership too is a testament to the same spirit and is reflected in our decision to support PCB’s vision of restructuring the Domestic Cricket Circuit and nurture young talent”.

Tell us a little about yourself?

I’m a slightly young, passionate and a hardworking person who is structuring his way into our local world of fashion and glamour by means of multiple creative elements including but not limited to hairstyling, makeup and content creation.

Did you ever consider or experience a career change?

Been there done that MULTIPLE times . Since I’ve graduated in the field of pure finance, I have already worked with the biggest hedge fund administrator of North America. Switched to auto mobile industry for some time.

Moved back to Pakistan in 2017, worked for wind power plants, structured and ran a restaurant.

Trained to be a hair stylist. This could even be a pit stop, who knows.

Did you ever feel discouraged mid way your routine? How did you push through it?

It indeed is a very stressful and tiring occupation, given that you are the one stop shop for all elements of creativity. Managing all departments is discouraging sometimes, and I push myself by a sole belief that if me and my team is working whole heartedly , we Inshallah will reap the benefits of it soon too.

an endless possibilities Inshallah :) What does nobody tell you about being the boss?

That I need a break too. I over work myself probably because I want things to happen right at all times and I often go overboard resulting in tiring myself.

But also its kind of directly linked to my mental satisfaction as well , where you feel really happy seeing things how you planned.

Name one boss man that inspired you take your own path, and how did she inspire you?

A Ton I see people every other day whose life stories inspire me to believe why everyone should follow their dreams and passion. Mind you , it’s the most difficult, broken yet the most beautiful path once structured right. Don’t ever stop believing in yourself, because everyone will.

What are the top three things that you cherish the most in your life?

I feel I’m very blessed to have risked so many occupational opportunities which I feel is part of my extended learning curve yet , I cherish having a loving and caring family, and got recently married so looking forward to cherish my new life ahead :) What is the #1 thing yet to be ticked off your bucket list?

Don’t really have a #1 on my list. Numbers keep changing with situations. I always prioritize whats’s important at what moment of life. For now my #1 is to make our recently launched women’s section to be a successful venture and grow this business to

Who doesn’t act as a BOSS. You need to be very humble and generous with your team. Treat them with respect, be just and reward them for what they deserve. I believe a lot in giving back to people who work hard for what they do.

A lesson your biggest failure might have taught you?

Don’t rely on anyone. You can be your biggest motivator and support.

It’s nice to seek help from others but reliance often makes you weak. Also never stop trying, you never know you might be digging diamonds.

What advice would you give to young boys who look up to you and have goals and dreams like you?

Start working on your dreams at a young age.

Schools would only groom your mind and maybe personality, but it’s very vital to know that only work on something that would eventually reward you in monetary terms in the future. Listen to successful people, and never stop gaining knowledge because you would never know everything ever.
