•What turned you towards jewellery design?

I have a design background, and have always wanted to create things. I have always been inspired and influenced by fashion and love the idea that a single piece of accessory can completely transform an outfit.

•Tell us about the creative inspiration for your latest collection?

As a child, I was always intrigued by the magical illustrations and narrations of enchanted forests in fairy tales – divine velvety shades, picturesque contours, mystery and a profound sense of wonder.

‘Mystical Forest’ takes its inspiration from sparkly starry nights, glittering light reflections and dreamy floral landscapes. A celebration of the fantasy, magic and immense beauty and charm of the enchanted forest of my imagination.

•What type of women do you have in mind when designing this line?

Madiso is for women who believe in their own style, I think style is very personal and people should understand it rather than following what is in trend.

•Who would you most like to see wearing your jewelry?

I would like all age groups from all over the world wearing my accessories, again I would say madiso women are women who understand their own style.

•Name two style icons you admire – one living, one dead.

Princess Diana and Rick Owens •What's your jewellery philosophy? How do you like to wear your favourite pieces?

Madiso is all about statement jewelry,

the outfit has to revolve around the piece. Madiso goes very well with Block colors, be it a top or a dress.

•Do you have a most treasured item in your personal jewellery collection? (please attach a picture of you wearing this or just the piece) Its by a Turkish designer handmade necklace in rose gold, black rhodium with diamonds and emeralds.

•What are three wardrobe essentials every woman should own?

A very comfortable pair of sexy heels.

The perfect jeans and a well tailored white cotton shirt.

•If you could only wear one designer forever who would it be?

LANVIN any day!

•What's next? What's your vision for the future of your brand?

We have recently started exotic skin clutches and I want to focus on expanding on our evening clutches line.

•Tell us a little about yourself.

Born in Islamabad, Pakistan, Madiha was always impressed and influenced by the raw nature around her, driving her towards developing her artistic skills and essentially her organic aesthetic. She came to Dubai in 2001 and has worked in multiple disciplines of art over the past 16 years. Dubai has played an important role in her artistic existence and development, enabling her to gain wide knowledge and awareness through its multicultural and ever evolving state.

Over just a span of three short years, Madiha has built a strong regional presence for her brand – Madiso.

Where did you choose to go and why?

We took a vacation to Malaysia. I have always travelled to the west and never got a chance to see the beauty of Far East and what it has to offer. I could only take a week off from work and Malaysia was the best possible destination and believe me it was worth it.

Who did you travel with?

I travelled with my family. My Husband and my two lovely kids.

Where did you stay?

In Kuala Lumpur we stayed at the J.W Marriott and whereas in Langkawi we stayed at the St.Regis in Langkawi.

What are the best shopping spots there?

KL is a shoppers paradise .We were staying at the J.W Marriott which was connected to the star Hill Gallery and Pavilion mall which are the heaven of shopping. You get each and every brand under one roof, from European to American- you name it and they have it! It was a great shopping experience.

Suggest some amazing restaurants there?

In Malaysia you have something for everyone but if you are big fan of seafood, their local eateries like Papa Rich are a must try. They are authentic Malaysian cuisine and mouthwatering.

Tell us about the sights no one should miss out on If in KL Petronas Towers are a must visit! Your trip can’t be completed without visiting them. If you’re travelling with kids like I was, The Aquaria and the Theme Park at Times square is great entertainment .In Langkawi they have world’s highest cable car spots at Cenang beach with a sky bridge, which was amazing to experience.

Suggest places for a perfect night out The jazz night at the Star Hills is an amazing experience.

What can you do over there to relax and unwind?

Langkawi was truly magical and heavenly. Very relaxing and serene. You have a lot to do from swimming to enjoying the beach. Good spas is all you need to relax and unwind.

Malaysia was a great experience and I would highly suggest you all to visit at least once. People are very humble, helpful and kind. Shopping and food is great and it's perfect for a vacation with kids.
