Travelling is great fun. You get to explore a new place, meet new people and get wiser! We want to know more and will share with you exciting travel stories from a few special people in our section, planes, trains & automobiles!

What are the best shopping spots there?

Hunza is known for its locally grown/dried fruits so Id suggest hitting those stores in the main bazaar.

Where did you choose to Go and why?

Hunza - because I wanted to witness whether it was as heavenly as rumoured.

Who did you travel with?

A group of close friends the most multi-occupational group ever.

Where did you stay?

Initially we planned to stay at Eagles Nest, however a friend who currently lives in Hunza suggested against it and made lodging arrangements at Hunza Embassy Hotel. The reason dawned upon me the first morning, as i strived to absorb the most picturesque view from the balcony of my hotel room.

Suggest some amazing restaurant there?

Best option for breakfast would be ‘Cafe De Hunza’ (without a doubt). In the evenings one must try Hunza local cousine from Paradise Inn and the Yakh bbq is not to be missed.

Tell us about the sites no one should miss?

Within Hunza • Duiker especially during sunset.

There are a lot of sites take inn outside of Hunza, and the drive from Hunza to Khunjrab (China/pak Border) is the perfect anecdote. The roads are perfectly carpeted and the views are better than what you would find in Switzerland.

Along the drive you should hit/see the following spots.

What can you do over there to relax and unwind?

Breathe in the fresh air, gaze at the clearest skies and most efficacious sunsets, bathe in the natural hot spring.

Finally, any tips • Confirm and reconfirm all bookings. The locals have a smooth way with unprofessionalism.

• Definitely drive to khunjerab Pass.

• Walk and wander as much as possible because its the foot freedom you'll miss the most.

• Overdose on sunblock to avoid the inevitable skin burns.

• Keeps the lips moisturised.

• For the over enthusiastic, get an extremely reliable contact for ‘Hunza Water’.

The beauty of Hunza is complimented by the hospitality of the local residents, thus sporadic conversations will provide you with numerous perfect spot. However, for those looking for plan, then do try to find an opportunity to attend a local event (i.e. wedding, closing ceremony of an exhibition). A Few hotels in Hunza also provide the ‘local’ Dinner/cultural experience, which has top be booked in advance. Be prepared to keep your dancing shoes on, because you will be forced to dance the night away.

• Go searching for hot springs, there are a few spread across Hunza, I wont tell you exactly where they are; 1. One I felt when I was there searching from them that some of the locals did not want tourist to know.

2. The search itself makes finding them and then eventually dipping in them even more satisfying.
