dawn to dusk: sapphire our favourite fashionista Shazah Ayub shows you how you can take your Sapphire second anniversary silk collection outfits from day to night with on point styling.

Night

Shazah Ayub I added my own twist to this kurta by tucking it into these white flared pants, I got from Zara, and wore it with a statement pearl necklace, I found at a vintage store In Toronto. Instead of wearing the duppata, I wrapped it around the chain of my Chanel bag and used it as a handle. Kept my shoes simple and opted for basic white heels for a day time look. I didn't really experiment much with the evening look- just blinged up my accessories and went for a gold clutch and my gold Aquazzura heels. 2016

Night Since I wanted to have fun with this kurta, I went for a boho chic look! I tucked it into my high waisted flared jeans and wore my statement tassel earrings. I finished off my look with my Chloe Carlina's and YSL bag. The colors of this kurta are very striking, hence I kept my accessories simple and let the kurta do the talking. Just the perfect look for a night out! Photography: Kashif Rafiq Model: Shazah Ayub Make up & Hair: Nabila's Salon

planes, trains & automobiles

Travelling is great fun. You get to explore a new place, meet new people and get wiser! We want to know more and will share with you exciting travel stories from a few special people in our section, planes, trains & automobiles! Where did you choose to go and why? “In a land far far away…”like in most fairytales but this one is really really far away, heck like it would’ve taken a year or so in Ogres time; crossing the grasslands and the mountains and braving stormy seas to reach a magical land..ok let’s cut the chase short!I had to give in to my sister’s emotional blackmailing and was forced to pay her a visit in Melbourne. Who did you travel with? I travelled with my siblings; it was more like a siblings reunion with all of us joining in from different parts of the world. Where did you stay? I stayed at my sister’s place in Melbourne which is in the state of Victoria and is famous for it’s hipster bohemian culture.

What are the best shopping spots there? Melbourne being the fashion hub of the country has various shopping malls in the heart of the city.Head over to Emporium Melbourne and Collins Street where you’ll find all the famous international high end brands as well as some really good local brands. The factory outlets spread across the DFO in South Wharf and Docklands offer great deals too. Also, do visit the QV market always buzzing with activity, you’ll find some great bargains on fresh farm produce and an interesting array of local products. Suggest some amazing restaurants there. This city is a haven for all sorts of cuisines from around the world …….specially for seafood lovers. Be it the simple fish and chips from a kiosk at the beach, the delectable Armenian cuisine at Sezar or the soft shell crab burger

at Demazzi, all are simply out of this world! One can enjoy Mediterranean cuisine at Byblos right by the Docklands and be mesmerized by the beautiful view of boats sailing in the sea breeze. Do try the monster shakes and endless variety of coffees at various cafes . The churros at San Churro are the best churros you will ever have.

Finally, any tips? For any adventure sports make sure that you book online in advance as the weather can be very unpredictable. Beware of the traffic cameras if you’re driving or renting a car. Always carry an umbrella and piece of warm clothing no matter which season you’re travelling in as the icy cold winds can hit you anytime and anywhere and…once you visit this place, you may never want to leave…....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

If you’re an adventure enthusiast like me then head over to the Yara Valley or Mount Buffalo for sky diving, hot air ballooning, caving, rafting and other action sports. Take a day trip along the Great Ocean Road to witness the splendor of the 12 Apostles and for some real encounters with wildlife and nature visit Mount Dandenong, Philip Islands and Kennett River. The colorful historic boxes at the Brighton beach or the surfing beaches at Torquay are perfect relaxation spots.

What can you do there to relax and unwind? For an indulgent escape book a spa day at a spa resort and let the healing waters of the mineral springs rejuvenate you. Walk, run, cycle and have barbeque picnics in the numerous parks spread around the city. Go for a long drive, visit a winery and be awe struck by how the topography changes within minutes or just head over to any beach; walk down the pier, soak up the sun and just sit back and get mesmerized by natures dazzling spectacles..surreality is priceless.

travel diaries

Tell us about the sights no one should miss out on? Melbourne is bestowed with innumerable natural wonders, pristine beaches, indigenous wildlife, all blending in perfectly with the multicultural cosmopolitan life. Visit the Docklands(at night), MCG, Melbourne Museum, Federation Square, Flinder Street Station and Block Arcade to admire the architectural masterpieces. Hop onto the circular tram for a perfect city tour and don’t forget to notice the amazing street art in the various winding streets especially in Fitzroy

Suggest places for a perfect night out. Wander around Fitzroy or CBD----- lined with old fashioned cafes and stylish bars. You are sure to find a place of your liking with some great live music options as well. For a good laugh and a casual dinner, The Comics Lounge is the place to visit.

This continues to be a time of learning and opportunity for you, and the desire to take a step forward could intensify as the weeks progress. You'll be in a position to use experience as well as new knowledge to explore fresh territory. The Full Moon on December 13 could highlight this desire to travel in a new direction. If you feel you've already gone as far you can go with one plan, it's time to take that leap of faith.

You may be intensely involved in a course or plan that could transform your beliefs and change your way of thinking about the world. A potent aspect might be the reason you feel called to move outside your comfort zone and consider options that are a bit of a stretch but could change your life for the better. This is part of a bigger pattern of change that could set you on a new course with fresh challenges and opportunities.

Your interactions could be the reason you feel inspired to explore new ideas. The current picture is less about the past and more about what you hope to achieve in the future. It's a time to look forward. The Full Moon in your sign on December 13 could intensify emotions and see you responding instinctively to someone's request or a conversation. However, it's best to think before you react to avoid doing or saying anything you might regret later.

Your relationship with a certain person may be deepening, but it doesn't seem to be on a romantic level. The present picture suggests a meeting of minds that could cement your bond or at least encourage mutual respect. The person could be influential in encouraging you to take a certain course of action, but don't just take their word for it. Consider if it might work for you before you commit. Lighten your schedule around the Full Moon on December 13.

You could be entering a busy period when you need to get certain work completed. This could intensify over the days ahead, so organization will be the key to success. Don't neglect it in favor of other, more appealing activities, as it could stack up and leave you with too little time to complete it. The Full Moon across your leisure axis on December 13 could be a great time for a holiday party or celebration that everyone will enjoy.

With the Sun continuing its journey through your domestic sector, you may benefit from time out that allows you to rest and recharge. As the Sun will soon enter your leisure sector, make the most of the coming days to indulge in a little self-care or pampering. Get a holiday hairstyle or relax on the massage table. You may also be working on an idea to revolutionize your financial situation. Take your time to research this. It could make a real difference.

With Jupiter in your sign linking with Uranus and Saturn, your relationships can be a source of new ideas that change your life in some way. A feeling that something needs to give may be a call to explore a new relationship that ends up being very productive for both of you. It may not be romantic, although it could be. There is a suggestion that you could go into business together and be quite successful at whatever you do.

If you've been looking for the perfect job, one that allows you to earn a good income while giving you the freedom to be your own boss, you may be about to discover it. Over the coming weeks, research your options and create a plan. Approaching this in a practical, step-by-step way could be rewarding and lucrative. The Full Moon in your finance sector could see you splurging on items to make you feel good even if you don't really need them.

aquarius

pisces

You may be making more of an issue than is necessary, particularly if you haven't spoken to anyone about it and it is weighing heavily on your mind. Over the coming days, consider chatting with someone you can trust, as this could leave you feeling much better. You may find that what was bothering you isn't such a big deal after all. There's also a Full Moon across your leisure axis on December 13 that could coincide with a sizzling encounter.

The move of Venus into your spiritual zone might see you taking time to help those who need extra care. Taking part in a charity event or involving yourself with visits to the elderly or infirm could be very rewarding for you. Even so, another side of you may be quite ambitious and eager to get ahead, and this is the perfect time to do so. Whatever you're planning, don't wait until next year to make your move. The time is now!

With the Sun changing signs next week, the coming days could see you putting your personal stamp on plans that have special resonance for you. You do seem to be heavily invested in the idea of a complete change, which could include a move. This may be connected to a job or career change that you're seriously considering. At this stage, though, it's best not to hurry it along. Take a practical, down-to-earth approach to such matters.

As Mercury moves closer to Pluto in your sign, you may be looking for a way to bend an opportunity to your advantage. Is it really worth doing so? You may find that angling for a certain outcome and doing all you can to obtain it is quite stressful. It might be better to give it your best shot and let the whole thing go. On another note, this is an excellent time to release any emotional baggage that is holding you back.
