atelier s / s ' 1 6 lawn This year’s lawn collection encapsulates fun and floral prints, drawing on birds and a diversity of geometric patterns accented with the Nida Azwer’s signature gold screen prints, laces, pin tucks and emboss work. Expect prints combined with a refreshing abundance of negative space in a colour palette of lighter shades ranging from soft neutrals in ivory, beige and light pinks to bright sea green, blue, red and rusts. For stitched ensembles, Nida has kept her lawn silhouettes cleaner and straighter with shorter lengths while pants have been finished with organza detailing and embossed prints with the dhoti shalwar a main trend to look out for. Élan lawn
MARRAKEcH CALLING The Moroccan sun is one to be reckoned with; tempestuous, moody, and very, very, bright. Its effects on us are ineffable. The eye is attracted to bright tones and florals that celebrate the Moroccan sun’s glory, whereas the heat makes one yearn for lightness. This is where Élan lawn steps in. Gorgeous prints that juxtapose exquisite patterns, with dynamic, contemporary motifs and techniques, our lawn has so much to offer this year. Barring popular view, lawn isn’t an exception to high fashion this year Élan Lawn makes sure of that. Brand: Élan Photography & Styling: NFK Photography Hair & Makeup: Omayr Waqar Model: Nidhi Sunil

How to do a natural, no makeup look
BY NUMRA WAQAS
OFTEN TIMES, THE HOTTEST BEAUTY STATEMENT IS MAKING NO STATEMENT AT ALL. TECHNIQUES TO ACCENTUATE YOUR OWN NATURAL BEAUTY BUT APPEAR UNTOUCHED ARE DISCUSSED BY MAKEUP ARTISTS AND ENTHUSIASTS WORLDWIDE. BELOW ARE 10 EASY STEPS TO ACHIEVE THE MUCH DESIRED BUT ELUSIVE NATURAL LOOK, WIDELY REFERRED TO NOWADAYS AS THE ‘NO-MAKEUP’ LOOK:
step 1: perfect your skin Working with your natural skin tone is key to this look. You want to even out your complexion, conceal any redness and create a natural radiance. Find your shade in a sheer coverage foundation like the Chanel Vitalumiere and apply it only where needed. Instead of brushes, use your fingers or a beauty blender to create a more natural finish.
step 2: conceal imperfections For problem areas and/or dark under eye circles use a pigment-rich concealer like the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. Try not to go overboard as you want to create a natural look. Apply the product in an inverted triangle under your eyes and blend with your ring finger as it has the lightest touch. For blemishes, try to progressively build up thin layers of coverage by dabbing (not swiping) and blending gently.
step 3: powder it lightly Remember, real skin is never matte so finish by powdering only the areas that get oily throughout the day e.g. your T-zone. Try Laura Mercier’s Translucent Powder or Secret Brightening Powder.
step 4: go fresh & rosy To create a rosy flush apply blush only to the apples of your cheeks and blend upwards and outwards towards your ears with a fluffy brush. You want to use a shade that’s closest to your natural blush or the same shade as your natural lip color. Try Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Captivating. 48

step 5: apply neutral eye shades Enhance your eyes’ natural contours without revealing the use of an eye shadow by opting for a soft, brown shade that’s slightly darker than your original skin tone. Brush it into the creases in a windshield-wiper motion and along the lower lashes. Make sure there are no hard edges so it looks soft and natural.
step 6: get that glow! For extra glow, apply a highlighter on the center of your eyelid and your brow bone, the inner corners of your eyes and the highest points of your cheekbones. Also, get your cupids bow, the tip of your nose and the center of your forehead. Try the Mary Loumanizer by The Balm Cosmetics or Pressed Powder in Moonstone by Becca Cosmetics.
step 7: line those eyes (optional) If your eyes need a little extra definition, lightly dot a soft brown or black pencil/liner between the top lashes (almost as if you’re applying the product on top of your lashes). This will make your lashes appear thicker and fuller without looking like you have anything on. Alternatively, try tightlining. To do this gently lift your lashes upwards, and push the liner into the rim of your eyelids using a kohl pencil. This is another way to make your lashes appear fuller and thicker and frames your eye so that you look more awake.
step 8: arch support Perfectly groomed eye brows bring your features into focus and flatter the shape of your face. To accomplish this, brush and fill in any bare spots with a pencil or shadow such as the Anastasia Beverly Hills Browiz; then comb them upward with a spooley brush so everything blends out and looks natural.
step 9: lengthen your lashes Defined lashes are essential, even for a natural look. This means that mascara is compulsory, even if you decide to leave out shadow and liner. Wiggle the mascara wand from the root of the lashes pulling upwards for an open-eyed look.
step 10: enhance your lips Exfoliate your lips with an old toothbrush and Vaseline to get rid of nasty dead skin. Your lips should be just a shade brighter than your natural color. Pat on the product, try the Benetint by The Balm Cosmetics, with your fingers for a subtle pop of color and shine. That’s about it! It might seem a lot but with practice can easily be accomplished in less than 10 minutes. So don’t fret, try it, smile and let your inner beauty shine through! 2016
