Describe yourself in three words for us. I would say that the best 3 words that describe me would be: creative, ambitious and sincere. This sums me up as a person that I am at this day. You’re conquering modeling milestones one day at a time, how did your journey begin? My journey actually began in Karachi. I was 3, and my mother and i went to the shopping mall Park Towers and a representative from the shop of ‘Amir Adnaan’ came up to us and invited me to walk their show. After that show, when I was about 4 or 5, I took part in the fashion show of Bumble & Bumble and later, shot for their kids campaign and was published in the magazine”She”. Its so crazy looking back at the pictures and seeing myself start from such a young age. It feels like I always had that passion for fashion in me, since the very young age. I guess after these shows, my mom knew that I had this ardor. We moved to Moscow when I was 8 and my mother took me to a Kids Recreation Center “Moscow Dreams”, where they had singing, acting, modeling and dance classes. This center made me realize what I really wanted to do and all of this was the actual start to my journey and career .

What brands have you worked for so far and which one has been your favorite and which one, not so much? I have had the pleasure and honor to work with a variety of brands and clients starting from fashion shows like “London Fashion Week” walking for the designer Danish Wakeel, “PFW6 Wedding of Asia London” walking for several well known designers like Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, Nauman Arfeen, Marium D Rizwan and Al Zohaib; “Russian Fashion Week” for Viktoria Prohoreva, Moscow Fashion Day, Eco Fashion Week and Wolk Morrais in Los Angeles to E-commerce and campaigns. To name a few, I had the delight to shoot for ‘Target’, ‘Forever 21’, BCBG Generation and A’gaci. They were such a thrill to work with! Great people that soon become like a family to you definitely make the 9-10 hour shoot day go by quick and its always such fun to be on set with the whole crew. Of course in every job that you work, there are some downfalls/misunderstandings with some brands or clients. I never speak badly of anyone and always keep it professional. I believe that with time, the right choices will be made sooner or later, but for now, I appreciate every job I receive and never say the word no. What’s the funniest/most absurd thing that’s ever happened to you while working? The most absurd thing that ever happened to me was in London. I had a 2 hour shoot outside of the city next to a river. The temperature was -10 and I was wearing summer clothes while sitting next to the water and pose in the icy wind blowing in my face. It was so funny

UP CLOSE & PERSONAL looking at the pictures, as all that stood out to me was my Rudolf nose. After several shots, they would bring me a blanket to cover up and warm me for the next batch of pictures haha. The pictures turned out gorgeous anyways! It was a great and funny experience for the books. Katie Leask is a great photographer and friend so she made it all seem like it was nothing! You’re young, beautiful and already well established. What’s that one phone call you’re really waiting for? Ahhh.. we all wait for that one phone call that we dream about! I dream big and hey, dreams come true so why not right? Now that I’m thinking about it- I have a few things I’m waiting for but at this moment, getting a phone call from a casting director for a major film would be hands down the moment of my life and career. I trained as an actor in London and NYC, so booking a major TV or film role would be an actual dream come true. Fingers Crossed!!! Very recently we saw you in a music video. Could this be your first step towards an acting career? So yes! Then comes this music video “Escapate Conmigo” directed by a great and super talented director Jessy Terrero. The whole shoot took place in Malibu, Miami and Las Vegas. I had the honor to spend quite a while with the great crew and I can certainly tell you that this was one of the best experiences in my life. Working with a director that has worked alongside people like Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull, only to name a few, was absolutely mind-blowing. I always had a dream of being an actor. I studied in The Arts Educational School in London and then finished and received my Associates degree at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. I also wrote, filmed, edited and directed my own short film in London. Being a lead in this music video is most certainly a step towards my acting career and I hope that their will be more experiences like this soon!! If you were to act, what TV show would you want to make a cameo in? I am a fan of drama and action movies TV shows, so that would be my go-to goal. An example of some TV shows that i absolutely enjoy and would love to be a part of something like these would definitely be The Vampire Diaries, Game of Thrones, Teen Wolf, Gossip Girl, Stranger Things and the most recent that everyone is in love with- 13 Reasons Why. If you could wake up as any one for a day who would you be and why? Hmm.. thats a very hard question. I look up to a lot people in my life and its interesting to me to be able to imagine how they live their life. Some of the people that keep inspiring me in my career is Katherine Hepburn, Micheal Jackson and Angelina Jolie. Katherine was known for playing strong willed women in all her film roles. When I was studying to be an actor, I always had her in mind. She is an actress who won 4 academy awards- the most an actress has ever won and also she lived her life for herself and not anyone else. She broke rules and taboos, which not a lot of people in this day and age can. I love this quote by her, “If you obey all the rules you miss all the fun”. Micheal Jackson is just a legend. His songs and his life is such an inspiration and he lived it to the fullest. What makes me love both, Micheal and Angelina, is that they both stay humble and help the
world because they can. I’m someone who wants to travel, not for my own self but to allow myself to explore and get to know the variety of cultures and people and help them in any way possible. I don't need fame to do that, but being a successful actress and model, definitely helps with pursuing your dream. I would love to be one of them for a day. That would help me understand their thoughts and allow me to explore their passions. Do you have a hidden talent? My biggest hidden talent is i can fold my tongue in half horizontally, and no, not a lot of people can do it. When I spill this out to someone they try it and hold it with their teeth, but you have to let go! haha. Well, I also play sports, dance and sing. It was always very easy for me to learn and adapt to something. I could play any sport in school (thanks to my dad, who from the very young age would take me out to play bowling, football, billiard..etc), dance to any style and learn another skill like skiing. Just learnt that the first time on New Years, a couple months ago. Went out to Pennsylvania and i stood on them the first time and soon enough I was rushing down the hills! I didn't fall, not even one time! Crazy! So much adrenaline! Always down to learn something new. It’s been a while since your last visit to Karachi, what are your fondest memories in this city? Yeah.. haven't been back since I left, when I was 8. When I think about it though, I remember my lovely school “Convent of Jesus and Mary”, my friends and the great time spent with them. The gatherings and small parties at everyones houses. The best was getting ready for someones wedding! How all the girls and boys would put on some dances and rehearse till we drop. All the clothes you had to order and get it customized for you. Karachi was also the place where I had my first professional experience in sport. I took classes in tennis with the famous coach Saeed Mir. If i didn’t leave, I would probably have played it professionally now. The most warm memories of Karachi would be the people, culture and traditions. Its something to experience and learn just by being their. Family comes first there and that is something you value. If your life in this moment were a book or movie, what would the title be? Wow! No you got me thinking. After a long thought process, the most fit title I would give my movie or book is “Through the eyes of a Lioness”. The title says it all. Lioness- because I’m a fighter and never give up on anything that I want. I will fight till the end. Words of wisdom you’d want to share with our readers? I would like to say to all of you reading this: never give up on your dreams. Dream big and when the time is right, it will happen. Their will be so many obstacles in your life but when you overcome those, that will prove to you that all of this was worth fighting for. My mistake in life was listening to what people think or say about me but at the end of the day, its your life, so live it to the fullest. And lets say, when you do achieve success or fame, stay humble and help the others around you because at the end of your life, all you take to your grave is your naked self. “I'm happy to be alive, I'm happy to be who I am”- Micheal Jackson.

I recently travelled to Turkey, Istanbul because I believe Turkey is a great place as it has the perfect blend of both east and west. Plus if you have the American or the British visa then you do not need a separate visa for Turkey, which is convenient. Who did you travel with? I travelled with my five friends. Where did you stay? I stayed at two different places, so for the first two days I stayed at the InterContinental on Taksim Square and for the rest of my time, I was at The St. Regis located in Nisantasi. What are the best shopping spots there? To name a few, Nisantasi is the place where all the happening

designer stores and amazing boutiques are located, and it is a great place to just walk around and shop. Now if you want some fun shopping like souvenirs and inexpensive stuff then you must definitely check out Istiklal Street and finally if you are into spices and old artifacts and pure Turkish stuff then you need to go to the Grand Bazaar. Suggest some amazing restaurants there? Gazebo CafÊ at the Kempinski Çraan has absolutely divine food, and then there is another restaurant called Nusr.Et located in Nisantasi, which is simply amazing. the Topkap Palace, the Dolmabahçe Palace and the Sultan Ahmed Mosque also known as the blue Mosque. Then, one should also not miss visiting Hagia Sophia, Çraan Palace Kempinski and the old city where the Grand bazaar is located. These are just a few of the many sights that are worth watching and if possible get a one-day trip to the scenic Pamukkale that encompasses stunning hot sulphur springs to make your trip worthwhile.

Suggest places for a perfect night out If you are in the mood for some fun then you definitely need to put your dancing shoes on and go to the Istiklal street because the variety of clubs there will keep you tied up starting from 360 onwards and then stepping to the next one; it’s a lot of fun! What can you do over there to relax and unwind? The Turkish Hammams are famous all over the world that basically are like spas and one can just go there to relax and unravel.

Finally, any tips? Carry tons of cash because often the Pakistani credit and debit cards do not work at half of the places, which can cause a lot of problem. Also there is no UBER or CAREEM so you really need to dig in and keep on bargaining with the taxi drivers about the rates, as they have no fixed rates.
