Did you stumble upon your career or was it something that you always wanted?

I was at LUMS studying business and humanities and pursuing a career in interior designing simultaneously during my final year. Back then I was happily pursuing that and it was getting bigger and better until I had my first born and the guilty mom syndrome started to kick in because I had to be away at far flung sites for my interior projects. During that phase I was guided by my mother that maybe the solution to my tears would be to do something in closer proximity to my child. And for this trasitional period I started channeling that energy into designing clothes since that was familiar space for me as I had been designing for my family and friends for as long as I can remember. Then I started with just 2 people on the adda and now here I am. How it grew and when it grew probably was just fate.

What is #1 thing that is yet to be ticked off your bucket list?

Ah there are so many! At this time it is to study and thoroughly understand the message of my creator for me.

What does nobody tell you about being the boss?

The boss has to succumb to so many things at the same time.To be a good boss, you have to be a good team leader. For that one should be big enough not to play boss all the time! It's about doing things collectively with understanding and respect for other viewpoints while keeping it all together.

Name one boss lady that you admire and how she still inspires you?

I admire any woman who has a grip on things in her What was your “aha!” moment? life, someone who is content at the end of the day doing I think a career is not just one ‘aha’ moment but a lot of whatever her ambition might be even if it’s being a stay ‘ahas’ and lots of lows. But if I had i choose one it would be at home mother or whether it’s her career. But if I were to when we got selected for the most prestigious name one boss lady around me, I would love to platform in the country; PFDC fashion week say my mother because of her positivity and her "I ADMIRE ability to absorbs things and be encouraging at a very early stage, just one year into my work .That’s when I started thinking that my and supportive towards everyone. Shes a ANY work should be more than just my hobby. The Tamgha-e_Imtiaz because of her outstanding WOMAN fact that they are choosing me to come in the achievements in tennis. However we have never mainstream of design houses in the country her neglect her family in any way till to WHO HAS seen may be it. I felt like there was something date. Shes present, supportive and our biggest unique that I was doing and was doing it right.

Did you ever consider or experience a career change?

Interior designing is something I'm very passionate about and feel like i should incorporate it into our brand house in the future but right now my hands are full.

What time you felt completely was discouraged and how did you push through it?

The deadlines and the pressures that you have to meet can bog you down time and again. My kids and time with them is so precious that when it gets imbalanced then that’s when I get discouraged. Apart from that when im at work, with my team, Alhamdulillah I love what we’re doing and creating everyday!

What was the best advice that your mentor gave you?

The best advice is to keep improving yourself constantly and looking at the brighter side of life all the time!

What are the top 3 things you cherish in your life?

Family, friends, and to have a drive in life general and not just in your career. I think it’s crucial in life to have passions and the drive to do things right and with some amount of heart. That’s something I would want my kids to

Describe a day in your life There is no similar day to another but a day in my life starts with morning school prepaprations and the earlier half of my day at my workshop and then at the studio. Evenings are for family, kids and their activities and social commitments if any or just some chilling at home that I love to do.

A woman who’s got it under control with a big smile and a big heart no matter what storms might be brewing inside of her.

What did you learn from your biggest failure?

God has been very kind and I would say there hasn’t been a big failure as such. Be a better you and try to do better than you did in the past.

What advice would you give to young girls out there who have dreams and goals like yours?

Very important to have goals in life but don’t lose the balance in life. Value relationships, we are nothing without our herd. Choose your battles wisely. Live fully and enjoy every bit of the journey.

What inspired you to start your own brand?

This was something I had always envisioned myself doing and the day I started studying fashion, I knew this was definitely what I wanted to do for myself. I have always been awed by the designers I have grown up watching but after graduation I decided to work on my own instead of working with or under a boutique/designer brand

to make sure my ideas were my own and not influenced or adopted by anyone else. My inspiration for starting the brand was my dream of doing so.

Did you always want to be a fashion designer?

Yes, which is also the reason behind my degree from PIFD. Any advice you want to give the

aspiring designers?

I would advise all aspiring designers to try to start from scratch because it helps in developing your own ideas and a signature style from the very beginning, which is important in order to succeed in the rapidly growing fashion industry.

Tell us about a time a client didn’t like your work and how you dealt

with it?

As a designer, one must learn to accept that some people will love your work, and there will always be some people who do not like it. It is not a matter of dealing with it, you need to learn to accept it and try to learn from it by either progressing towards newer designs or understanding the perhaps altering market preferences.

While launching new collection, what inspires you the most?

I am most inspired by the beauty and uniqueness of different cultures around the world or the intricate details and ideologies of different traditions. I usually base one collection from one set of ideas which helps in building up the whole collection.

What is Fashion to you?

Fashion to me is an outlet of self-expression which entails one’s story, heritage, culture and inspiration. Fashion helps me project myself and I believe it is a language that translates your expression and mood before you need to yourself.

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

I have been working to build myself and progress in the industry since the past 7 years and it’s safe to say that none of my hard work has gone to waste. So in the next 5 years, I definitely see myself growing even more and building an empire that caters worldwide. I wish to see people all over the world acknowledging the brand name and its ideology.

How do you get unstuck when you are struggling for ideas?

Creative blocks are a part of any individual working day and night to squeeze their ideas into something tangible. It is important to remind yourself that everything can act as a source of inspiration.

To overcome the creative block and get new ideas, I go out, talk to people, learn about new ideas, do my research and generally do anything that can help evoke new ideas and inspire me.

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

I have been working to build myself and progress in the industry since the past 7 years

What’s your favorite project so far?

It might sound clichéd but I’m grateful for and fond of all my projects so far. However, there is this really interesting project coming up which I’m excited about, I haven’t done anything like that before so yeah, fingers crossed for that!

Well there is 168/59, Tambon Bo Put, Amphoe Ko Samui, Chang Wat Surat Thani 84320, Thailand, haha. But you'd have to be there to really know!

They have all kinds of water sports, and massages even though I don’t like massages a lot.. i don't even get why we would need so many massages all the time, what is this stress or pain that is not leaving us lol. They have great dedicated areas there for yoga and very purposeful kicking back!
