Did you stumble upon your career or was it something that you always wanted?

I always knew I wanted to be a Makeup Artist.

Whenever I would visit my younger cousins, I would get hold of them and start doing their makeup regardless of their gender.

Did you ever consider or experience a career change?

When I was growing up my parents were always very supportive of my professional choices. At times people would let you down by saying “Makeup is not a profession” but with my family support and my willpower I kept on moving forward.

Did you feel discouraged mid way your routine? How did you push through it?

Initially I did feel discouraged as not many people knew about my work but Allah has been very kind.

What are the top three things that you cherish the most in your life?

I cherish the small little things in life. The time that I spend with my family, especially my niece Haya and discovering new places.

Name one boss lady that inspired you take your own path and how did she inspire you?

My mom honestly! She has inspired me at every step of my life. She has always been very honest and transparent and that is what she has taught me.

Describe a typical day in (insert names) life?

Breakfast is my lifeline then work work and work. Cannot live without working out so gym and lastly some me time and Netflix.

FOR ME A #BOSSLADY IS SOMEONE WHO EXPANDS THE DEFINITION OF “POSSIBLE”

BY CREATING SPACE FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

What is the #1 thing yet to be ticked off your bucket list?

Perform Hajj What does nobody tell you about being the boss?

That it can be extremely challenging at times but it’s totally worth it! I have more flexibility in terms of structuring my routine than I would have otherwise.

Complete this sentence, “To me a #BossLady is” For me a #BossLady is someone who expands the definition of “possible” by creating space for something different.

A lesson your biggest failure might have taught you?

That it’s always possible to pick yourself up after falling. Failure is an important part of your life to teach you lessons and to help you grow stronger.

Which world leader would you most like to

have dinner with?

Justin Trudeau What advise would you give to young girls who look up to you and have goals and dreams like you?

I would tell them to take time out to practice and refine your craft and not get disheartened if something does not work along the way because is you work hard you will get what you want.
