TOO VOGUE FOR YOU ANAAM CHAUDHRY IS A YOUNG AND PASSIONATE FASHION DESIGNER AND IS THE CEO OF ANAAM CHAUDHRY OFFICAL. SHE HAS STUDIED JOURNALISM BUT ALWAYS KNEW DEEP DOWN WHAT HER TRUE CALLING WAS.

Did you stumble upon your career or was it something that you always wanted?

I always knew that I will do something in the field that I am today. However, the degree I pursed was in journalism not textile designing, because I thought I would eventually grow up to be a fashion journalist, so there was a little change of plans.

What was your “aha!” moment?

When I got to know the importance of managing ones time is everything.

What does nobody tell you about being the boss?

You have to compromise on so much, on so many situations and things. It's exactly the opposite of what they show in movies!

Name on boss lady that you admire and how she still inspires you?

I am a huge Victoria Beckham fan! I absolutely love the way she's made her fashion house to be such a versatile, minimalistic label. How she balances her work and family is something I look up to the most.

I would love to have a big family one day and it's so important to balance family and work side by side because both these things are a blessing in your life.

Did you ever consider or experience a career change?

I haven't yet, but there's a lot more that I want to do, as there is so much more that I'm still really passionate about. Also, my father always says "never put all your eggs in "IF YOU FOCUS one basket".

When was time you felt completely discouraged and how did you push through it?

When I started my brand, I believe I got a lot of unnecessary and bitter criticism, which I believe was not needed. People weren't exactly helpful or encouraging, so that point of my life really did disturb me. I made it out of all that because of my family's support and continuous cheerleading on my every success.

ON THE PAIN YOU'LL ALWAYS STAY THERE, BUT IF YOU FOCUS ON THE LESSON YOU'LL ACTUALLY LEARN SOMETHING."

What was the best advice that your mentor gave you?

That one should never give up regardless of how difficult a situation is and that a positive and kind attitude in life gets you really far, believe me it does!

What are the top 3 things you cherish in your life?

Having such supportive friends around me, having a family that is always there for you and never judging you for anything, giving you the time, space etc to grow as your own kind of human, are all the things that I cherish the most in life.

What is #1 thing that is yet to be ticked off your bucket list?

I need to travel more and make some more time for myself, sounds typical but it's true.

Describe a day in your life My day starts of with my Pilates class, followed by my work which consumes half my day and before I head back home I stop at my gym. I love working out, it's something that helps me take my mind of things.

Someone who has discipline in her work, is patient with nuisance and yet living her life to the fullest.

What did you learn from your biggest failure?

That if you focus on the pain you'll always stay there, but if you focus on the lesson you'll actually learn something.

Which world leader would you most like to have dinner with?

She's not a world leader but she leads the fashion industry all over the world, so I would say Anna Wintour.

What advice would you give to young girls out there who have dreams and goals like yours?

Please don't ever be disappointed, life will give you so many reasons to be. Carry yourself forward with grace and kindness, forgive others as it helps you to forgive yourself also. Always be positive and delightful to the ones around you, the vibe you give is the vibe you'll always get!

2019 is all about clean, glowy, bare skin. mashaal malik of @ makeupbymashaalmalik brings to you summer 2019 makeup trends.

CLEAN GLOWING SKIN: Forget matte! This summer it’s all about glowing, shining natural gleam skin.

Drink plenty of water and use a good SPF every day to keep that glow during summertime. Use a liquid illuminator, not a powder one and use concealer or foundation where needed.

KISSED BY THE SUMMER SUN: The bronzer is back baby! This look is also known as the sun kissed look that we all know about. People are not afraid to show their real skin color anymore. Light colored people are going tan and people who are already tan are embracing their true skin color.

PRETTY IN PINK: Everything pink you say? Yes, that’s right! We all love pink in summer, don’t we?

Pretty in pink was also known as a monochromatic look last year. Eyelids, check bones and lips, everything pink.

GOLDEN LIDS AND BARE LIPS: Dramatic gold eyes with a classy winged brown liner and bare lips, so the focus can be on the eyes. This makeup look is easy, quick and fancy. Keep the lips bare and apply a lip balm or Vaseline to give them a healthy look.

UNDER LINER: 90’s makeup trends are back! Under liner is also known as kohl. This type of makeup trend is not about looking beautiful but it’s about looking impactful.

CLUMPY MASCARA AND BITTEN LIPS: This trend originates from South Korea. Mascara should be applied thick, clumpy and messy to both lower and upper lashes. Along with the heavy mascara apply lip tint to the center of the lips, wait for it to dry and then wear a lip balm so the lips stay hydrated.

POWERFUL RED LIPS: Red lips never go out of fashion! A killer red lipstick along with some mascara would look great if you’re going out on a dinner or with friends. My personal favorite is the Too faced Cinnamon Bear. It’s the perfect deep red stay on lipstick.
