curtain call Experience a theatrical extravaganza and relive the classic “Dracula” a tale of love, loss and redemption by Happy Owl Productions. A theatre drama thriller that promises to deliver romance, music, dance, action and much more in Lahore from 19th to 22nd April. Let us introduce to you the hard-working young team behind Dracula.
CAST:
DIRECTORS: >Saihaam Khan Saihaam has had a love for art and theatre from an early age. With an undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and major theatre exposure in California, Saihaam has decided to start his own theatre company in Pakistan. He takes inspiration from Broadway and international commercial theatre with plans to bring Pakistani theatre to that same level of technological incorporation and grand scale production. >Mahnoor Zaidi Mahnoor holds a love for visual arts. From early on she has been a part of projects across a wide span of disciplines. Mahnoor’s most recent project, a documentary, Dust to Dust, was shortlisted for the Student Oscars and won “The Best Documentary” Award at the Cinesiege, one of the most prolific Canadian visual art awards. Mahnoor has used her experience and ability to visualize to the maximum. She is a valuable asset to the team.
>Dracula/Daniyal Ayat A businessman by day and a performing artist by night, Daniyal has been a part of HOP since day one. His artistic passion evoked during his days in Aitchison College where he indulged in acting, dancing and music. An avid musician and drummer for his band “Jhol”, Daniyal is also an active gym enthusiast and multi-tasker par excellence. After completing his studies Daniyal plans to pursue his career in acting and revolutionize theatre in Pakistan.
>Lucy/Natalia Rashid Malik Natalia has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Fine Arts, Canterbury. She realised her talent and love for theatre at a very young age and has been pursuing it ever since. Her education, confidence and overpowering personality gives her a critical eye and extreme attention to detail. Once challenged, there’s nothing this girl can’t do!
>Harker/Shah Fahad A theatre and television actor, writer and director. Fahad is also the founder of Drama ED and Pakistan Tehreeke-Comedy. He has been associated with more than 40 plays in the last 8 years and is one of the most prominent names in theatre in Lahore.
>Mina /Jahan Ara Chugtai A graduate from Beaconhouse National University. She describes herself as a theatre nut and has been performing on stage since she was 12. Her journey kick started with a Japanese play called Peach Blossom. She has continuously taken part in drama clubs in all her institutes.
>The Creature/Hassan Raza Hassan has a decade of experience under his belt. Starting early he has directed and worked on multiple theatre productions. Hassan's acting accolades include theatre productions like "Nizzam Saka", "TheGood Doctor" and "Dastaak" to name a few. Hassan exudes immense talent in the way he is able to bring life into his characters.
>Jamees/Waqar Zulfiqar Waqar is an undergraduate student at BNU, working on his degree in theatre, film and television. With his roguishly handsome looks he has been featured on magazine covers and advertisements. Waqar has a passion for performing arts and its evident in his acting both on stage and on screen.
>Walsh/Ghazi Abid Muhammad Ghazi loves to sing, dance and act. This is his first commercial play and he hopes that he gets to showcase his versatility as a performer either in the theatre or on screen. A student of Economics but his heart belongs to the performing arts.
>Priest/Shahzil Khan Shahzil started his acting career with a tele-film, he has worked with independent short films and rocked the stage in the play “The Good Doctor." Shahzil brings raw talent to the stage and what he lacks for in experience he makes up with his natural flair for acting as he manages to immerse himself into the character.
>Thomas/Usman Banday Usman is a motivated, ambitious and talented actor - Inspired by Hollywood greats, he wants to eventually become a professional actor. Usman has a solid work ethic and strives to achieve the highest of standards when it comes to the performing arts. He is currently enrolled in BNU doing his Master's degree in TV & Film.

Travelling is great fun. You get to explore a new place, meet new people and get wiser! We want to know more and will share with you exciting travel stories from a few special people in our section, planes, trains & automobiles! Where did you choose to go and why? I chose to go to one of my favourite places in the world, London! This time the reasons were a little different as we had our baby traveling with us.. London was just perfect in terms of that. It was a also a family reunion so we all decided to meet mid-way. Who did you travel with? I travelled with my husband, baby and family. Where did you stay? We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Kensington which is a stylish London hotel with a Georgian facade and a lush garden.

Suggest some amazing restaurants there? London has amazing food, so picking a few would be very difficult. A few of my favourites however are, The Good Earth-Knightsbridge, Goodman Steak house, Kai and some of the most delicious scones and tea is served at Fortnum and Mason. Tell us few places where one can splurge? London is a shopping haven. A few would be the world renowned Harrods, opulent Selfridges on Oxford street and West field for the more mall oriented ones. Suggest places for a perfect night out?
