Travelling is great fun. You get to explore a new place, meet new people and get wiser! We want to know more and will share with you exciting travel stories from a few special people in our section, planes, trains & automobiles!

Where did you choose to go and why?

Seoul, South Korea! Majority of my family live in Korea, including my parents. I try to go back to my home country every year to see my family and friends.

Who did you travel with?

I traveled with my fiance. This was the 2nd time he was visiting Korea with me.

Where did you stay?

I stayed with my parents., beauty of having family there!

Suggest some amazing restaurants there?

There are too many! I will share the ones we reall y enjoyed

during this trip: 1. Ca-Na-An-Duck in Ilsan. Have you heard of Duck BBQ? They are so popular & delicious that they grew into 11 branches across South Korea. We always go back to the original branch in Ilsan/Won-Dang where my family have been going to since they opened.

2. Chang-Shin Yook-Huah (Beef Tartar) in Kwangjang Market. There are 3 locations in the market run by the same family. Their food is really fresh and service is wonderful & friendly! Definitely order the beef tartar and ask for seaweed wrap to wrap the beef tartar in.

3. Sundance Place in Itaewon. I recommend this place if you are craving non-Korean brunch food. Highly recommend

Tips?

You can experience all 4-seasons in South Korea. Winter can be very cold and summer is really hot! The best time to visit is spring or fall. Public transportation is developed in South Korea, so grab a subway map and start exploring.

2. Seoul N Tower in Nam-San. The night view over Seoul seen from Seoul N tower is great! However, make sure you go on a clear night.

Tell us about sites no one should miss out on?

1. Gyeong-Bok-Gung Palace in the heart of Seoul. There are a few palaces located in Seoul, but none of them are as big and magnificent as this one! This palace was originally built in 1395 but damaged in fire in 1592 and re-built in 1867. I recommend renting the Korean traditional clothing, Han-Bok, near the palace.
