How did chapter 2 come about?

Chapter 2 was created to revive hand woven fabric that Khaadi is famously known for. The beauty of the traditional fabric speaks for itself and Chapter 2 spins a modern twist into the fabric while weaving chic cuts and traditional styles together.

What is the difference between chapter 2 and Khaadi?

Chapter 2 has branched from Khaadi, hence there is a link of tradition that holds true in all our fabrics and designs. Chapter is focused on hand loomed fabric, with traditional methods and techniques of embroidery with a bolder fashion language, style and cuts.

What does chapter 2 have besides clothes?

Chapter 2 has a whole range of accessories and home products ranging from; Shoes, bags, jewelry, ceramics, metal ware, cushions, runners and quilted throws.

Travelling is great fun. You get to explore a new place, meet new people and get wiser! We want to know more and will share with you exciting travel stories from a few special people in our section, planes, trains & automobiles!

Where did you choose to go and why?

I had been selected for the 19th world festival at Sochi, Russia as a Mix Media artist. The most magnificent moment of the festival was to be part of diverse cornucopia of participants. It was a super inspiring tour, I got a chance to see most of the famous cities of Russia; Moscow, Sochi & Saint Petersburg. It was a great way to explore my interests in life - Who I am? What I love, How to focus on my future plans.

Who did you travel with?

I travelled with my brother and some Pakistani delegates who had been selected for this festival too but in different categories. It was truly an experience for me, participating with around 188 nationalities, 250,000 participants.

Where did you stay?

I stayed in different places, they provided us with accommodation in Rusky Dome - A Russian house near Sochi Olympic park, Air B&B and hostels in Moscow & Saint Petersburg.

What are the best shopping spots there?

I had a great shopping experience at the local market in Sochi. Got my hands on good stationary from Saint Petersburg. The outlet village in Moscow is also a great place for shopaholics.

Tell us about the sights noone should miss out on In Moscow: The Kremlin, Central House of Artist, Red Square, Saint Basil's Cathedral, Gorky Park, Ivan the Great Bell Tower, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier & State Historical Museum In Sochi: Black Sea, Sochi Olympic park & Sochi Park.

In Saint Petersburg: Hermitage Museum, Winter Palace, Church of the Savior on Blood, Peter and Paul Fortress, Saint Isaac's Cathedral, Kazan Cathedral & Nevsky Prospect.

What can you do over there to relax and unwind?

Visit the black sea in Sochi & walk on the roads along canals, explore the river side under the moonlight. I found myself like free bird on the river side & beaches surrounded by the endless natural beauty.

Finally, any tips?

Book all your tickets (Airplane, Trains, Busses &cruises) in advance, Don’t carry extra things in your luggage, pack your clothing according to the weather, do as the locals do, stay Central & walk everywhere possible. Lastly, Explore, Dream & Discover.

Suggest places for a perfect night out Red Square & the Kremlin in Moscow was mesmerising.

Another favourite was the opening bridge Saint Petersburg.

I tried lots of different food but fell in love with their local food like Borscht (sour soup) & Blini (Thin, crepe-like pancakces topped with savory or sweet toppings such as minced beef, caviar, or apples). A few of my favourite restaurants were as follows: Black Star Burger, Surfing Never Alone, MOCKBA PECTOPAH, I am thankful for today & French Kiss.
