Where did you choose to go and why?

Milano! The capital of Lombardy province of Italy and a city that enjoys the title of the fashion capital of the world.

Business summoned, we were taking part in activities relevant to Milan Fashion Week during September; amidst beautiful sunshine, immaculately dressed Italians, international models and design houses that put on a grand show to launch their new collections. If there is one city that truly celebrates fashion, hands down, it is Milan.

Who did you travel with?

We were accompanied by an architect, a learning and development expert, a quality auditor for British financial services, a financial trader, a logistics manager and a real estate associate. Not bad for a well-rounded posse ay!

Where did you stay?

Smack bang in the middle of the city, in a privately held apartment with a balcony overlooking the main street.

Don't you just love some of the properties listed on AirBnB! What are the best shopping spots there?

Depends. If you've recently completed a successful bank heist and have a few extra zeros in your bank balance and like to splurge then it's either Via Montenapoleone or Corso Venezia or Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. However, if you failed miserably in your bank heist and are most likely sitting handcuffed at the back seat of a Polizia di Stato vehicle, best to head to Corso Buenos Aires when you are granted bail to manage an affordable budget.

To each their own palate! Suggesting restaurants is a tricky hustle. As a rule, let people discover through good and bad experiences themselves.

Tell us about the sights no one should miss out on?

Head to Lake Como, one hour drive from Milan. Hire a local and take a boat ride, you'll find some beautiful architecture propped up around the lake in possession by A-list celebrities from around the world including an Arab royalty who has a nuclear proof bunker! Maybe Iran should test proof his bunker for him. Just kidding!

What can you do over there to relax and unwind?

Don't think about Pakistan. Just think of yourself as a global citizen, looking for adventure.
