#AllThatGlitters glitter is making a huge come back (as seen on runways across the globe) It’s a tricky trend, but there are plenty of ways to rock the look in a sophisticated way.

Here are a few ideas I think you’re really going to love: • If you’re not quite bold to go full-on glitter, opt for a shimmery, light-reflecting eye shade instead.

• Another modern twist would be to sweep glitter dust or fragments along the lower-lash line. No matter how heavy or light the upper eyelid, you can really go to town with the shade you choose for the lower-lash line!

• For dramatic eyes, you need glitter in your life! Start with the tiniest amount of glitter, you can easily use a dab of Vaseline, or even lip gloss, to use as ‘glitter glue’ and build up from there. (incase professional glitter glue is unavailable) • A great way to add oomph to your pout is by using a glittery lip-gloss/stick and dabbing on glitter with a brush or a glitter gel roll-on. It gives the mouth bedazzling pucker power!

• For your cheeks and brow line add depth to your face by using a bronzer and then highlighter. This looks great with a loose dusting of glitter along the brow line and the top of the cheekbones.

PRO-TIP: Have plenty of translucent powder handy. Apply the powder under the eyes in a ‘baking’ effect before you use glitter on your eyes. Use a fluffy kabuki or powder brush to dust away the overspill along with the loose powder.

MY FAVE: Long lashes, glitter, plenty of liner and a deep red/ burgundy or wine stained pout is the way to go! For GlitteryGlam peepers with beautiful long lashes, heat your eyelash curlers up first with a quick blast with your hairdryer. The result is both elegant and festive, and that’s just why I love it!

I

recently went on a date with my husband to this amazing restaurant in Shangrila Hotel, Dubai courtesy of The Stylish Gravy. The dining experience was exceptional in service, staff and ambiance. I fell in love with the intelligence of the menu design. It was packed with innovative culinary experiences that delivered more than what I had expected.

It's one place I will go to every time my taste buds need an extraordinary experience that tantalizes the senses rightly. Also the staff was so kind and courteous and it really added to the experience. I was spoiled rotten.

The evening started off with a Frozen Pina drink that was so distinctly refreshing in taste and presentation, I'd go back everytime just for the taste.

CUISINE

A team of chefs came next with a trolley holding the Tree of Chaat. A tree that held molecular versions of Pani Puri with a to-die-for tamarind and date shot, Dahi Bhalay and Fruit Chaat. The visual presentation was absolutely striking and it was impressive how many flavours a small bite could hold.

You literally wash them down like shots and they burst into all these flavours. It was experiential.

Then there was the Eggplant Chaat was a serious show of the culinary expertise of this Michelin star restaurant's team. The delicious sauces never overwhelmed the batter-fried eggplant or compromised it's crispiness. It was the perfect start to an evening of calorie consumptions that gave me absolutely zero regrets!

We had two bbq/grilled entrees and three main dishes served to us for dinner with sides of Naan and Palak Besan rotis. The hottest main was the Bhut Jolokia Nali Gosht which was braised nali gosht cooked in "ghost" chlli and it's spiciness still haunts the crazy desi tastebuds I genetically

inherited. It was the most invigoratingly spicy meat I have been served. I had to wash down the spice with yoghurt but the spiciness was so delicious and so satisfying to me. My husband being the Lahori he is took it down, without a sip of water.

Then there was Junoon's Murgh Tikka Mirza Hasnu - Chicken Tikka with Broccoli Puree. The first time ever for me to try that combination. I was pleasantly surprised at how the Puree complimented the perfectly-marinated, juicy meat.

This was my favourite part of the evening. The Palak Paneer Makhni Lukhmee was spinach, paneer and gruyere cheese married so harmoniously together on a platter, I couldn't keep my hands off of it and stuffed down two Besan rotis with just oodles of this velvety dip.

Daal has to be one of my favourite foods. I've always known it to be a simple dish but my experience at Junoon absolutely blew me away and

changed my perception. This main was creamy, velvety and an absolute experience. I crave it a lot.

Saloni Macchi specifically stood out as a very rightly done meat. It was an ocean trout tikka served with beetroot korma and topped with sea foam. It still leaves me stunned how much attention to detail Junoon paid to the culinary experience it's customers had. Each item that we tried off of the menu had something intelligent and out of the ordinary to offer to the palette.

Desserts were an apt ending to an amazing and fulfilling dining experience. A cotton candy, roofed, lemon kulfa that's bathed with the warmest rabri doodh sauce. When Haris and I thought we could eat no more this really guilt-ed our taste buds into scraping this plate clean. Too. I was reminded once again why food can never be a mere calorie count and goes beyond just sustaining us. It creates experiences, that make memories all the more special.
