CABINET APPROVES LAW FOR SINDH ELECTRIC POWER REGULATORY AUTHORITY

THE Sindh cabinet on Wednesday formally approved to establish the Sindh Electric Power Regulatory Authority (SEPRA). Provincial cabinet in a session granted approval of a draft of the law for establishing the provincial electric power regulatory authority.

“It is a historic decision of the Sindh government,” provincial government spokesman Murtaza Wahab said in a statement. “With this decision we could supply cheaper electricity to the people of our province,” Wahab said in a statement.

IG Railways appreciates staff who rescued passenger
lahore: IG Railways Dr. Rao Sardar Ali Khan commended the personnel who saved the life of a passenger at Rawalpindi station and awarded a cash reward of one lakh rupees and certificates of appreciation. A few days ago, Head Constables Lal Rooz Khan and Adeel Ahmed had saved a passenger from a major accident at Rawalpindi railway station. Railway passenger Kazim Saleem was getting off the moving train Rehman Baba at Rawalpindi Railway Station, when his foot slipped and he started to fall under the train.The passenger was saved by conscientious and dutifulness of the personnel. The footage of the incident also circulated on social media for a few days.

Shibli Faraz gets bail in Zaman Park riots case
LAHORE: A sessions court in Lahore has granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Shibli Faraz till April 27 in a case pertaining to violence against police and creating hurdles in party head Imran Khan’s arrest. The Centre for BRI and China Studies- Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies and Pakistan Research Center, Inner Mongolia Honder College of Arts and Sciences, China have established the Alliance of China-Pakistan Research Centers to enhance collaboration and understanding between Pakistani and Chinese academic institutions. This alliance aims to strengthen the longstanding bond between the two countries. The alliance's launch marks a significant step towards promoting academic collaboration between Pakistan and China. The coalition will facilitate joint research projects, exchange programs, and other academic activities to promote mutual learning and understanding. Pakistan, Turkiye agree to keep up cooperation in multiple fields

Pakistan and Turkiye on Wednesday agreed to keep up bilateral cooperation in multiple fields including trade, investment, defence, education and culture.
The bilateral ties were discussed in a meeting between For- eign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Ambassador of Turkiye in Islamabad Dr Mehmet Paçaci, who called on him here.
The foreign minister said that Pakistan and Turkiye enjoyed fraternal brotherly relations as both countries stood by each other in the hour of distress.

Pakistan for extending support following an earthquake in his country. Foreign Minister Bilawal also thanked Turkiye for supporting Pakistan following the devastating floods. Both sides also resolved to continue cooperating with each other on bilateral as well as multilateral forums.
