Sh Rashid moves IHC to avert ‘possible’ shifting to Karachi

Awami Muslim league (AMl) chief and former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Saturday filed a plea in Islamabad high Court (IhC) to stop his “possible shifting” to Karachi from Islamabad, but the Registrar’s Office raised objection to it.
The plea was filed by Sheikh Rashid through his counsel Sardar Abdul Razzaq Khan in the case of allegations against former president Asif Zardari. In

Sheikh Rashid also suspend the cases registered against him in Aabpara, Murree and Karachi. he requested the court to stop his transfer to Karachi until the final verdict of this case.
The National Institute of Folk and Traditional heritage (lok Virsa) in collaboration with Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir Culture Department and Federal Directorate of Education opened three-day “Kashmir Cultural Festival” to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day being observed on Sunday (tomorrow).
The main objective of the festival is to promote Kashmir cause through a cultural perspective while expressing solidarity with the innocent Kashmiri people struggling for their right of self-determination in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The main features of the festival included Kashmiri Artisans-at-work, Kashmiri folk crafts, Kashmiri patriotic songs, Kashmiri folk songs, Kashmiri folk paintings, photo exhibition on Kashmir, Kashmiri cuisine, screening of video documentaries on Kashmir, Kashmir musical evening, stage drama on Kashmir, promotional stalls to promote Kashmir cause and display of banners bearing slogans in favour of Kashmir cause.
Federal Secretary, National heritage and Culture Division, Farina Mazhar, addressing the opening ceremony condemned the atrocities being committed by Indian troops on the innocent people of IIOJK for demanding their right of self-determination.
Earlier, the Mochko police booked Awami Muslim league (AMl) chief and former interior minister cherished goal of freedom come what may. She said that the Indian government violated the mutual agreements between Pakistan and India and international laws by abrogating the special status of occupied Kashmir.

In the FIR, the PPP divisional president stated that the AMl chief tried to badmouth a former president and cause a “permanent danger” to the PPP co-chairman and his family.
The hurriyat stated that New Delhi was bent upon changing the demography of the occupied territory to convert Muslims majority into minority by issuing domiciles to non-Kashmiri settlers. She urged that the world must take notice of it and put pressure on India to recognize the right to self-determination of Kashmiris.
