A Great Day Out in Paisley

With a return to normality on the horizon, Paisley is looking to restart its popular events calendar.

We’re getting summer underway with our free family adventure, BRICKLIVE® Animal Paradise!

Running from Saturday 26th June until Sunday 15th August, this LEGO® brick trail features hand-built brick endangered animal statues. We’re sure your mini explorers will have a great expedition hunting down these stunning animals across ice caps, jungles, rivers and forests, all in the heart of Paisley town centre!

What will our intrepid voyagers find first – the Bengal Tiger, the Macaws, the Dolphin or the Snow Leopard?

Once you’ve had fun with our trail, we have a wide range of great shops and an abundance of fantastic food and drink venues, catering to every taste and budget, where you can have a well-earned rest!

The easing of the restrictions comes a little too late for the town’s traditional Sma’ Shot Day celebrations which will be online this year.

This popular day in Paisley’s calendar is named for the famous 1856 victory of the local weavers in an industrial dispute – revolving around payment for one small, unseen but crucial stitch, the ‘sma’ shot’ which bound together the colourful shawls for which the town was world-famous.

Head to www.paisley.is on Sat 3 July, you’ll be able to enjoy music, poetry, dance, arts and crafts and so much more!

Back to in-person events and we’re hoping this summer will see the return of St. Vincent’s Hospice CarFest to the town.

Slightly later than usual, it’s hoped the easing of restrictions will enable this popular family event to go ahead in August with stalls, entertainment and a motoring extravaganza featuring a range of classic, vintage and specialist custom cars.

It’s bound to be another fun day out for all the family with all funds raised on the day supporting St. Vincent’s Hospice in Howwood.

We also remain hopeful that a more normal autumn and winter events schedule will be able to take place.
