WINTER CLASSES ~DECEMBER~

Intermediate Wheel Throwing with Genevieve Dec 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29 @ 5:30-8:00 ~$220.00 Can you usually center 1 pound of clay, kind-of pull walls, and make a darn good paper weight? Then this is your class! Bring those foundational skills to the next level in this 5 week throwing intensive. This class will focus exclusively on throwing techniques. Pieces made and kept can be fired and glazed with the purchase of a January open studio pass.

Stained Glass Ornaments with Kris December 6 & 13 @ 1:00–3:30 PM ~$40 Create sparkling stained glass ornaments using the copper-foil technique! Over two sessions, you’ll learn to cut glass, foil edges, solder seams, and finish your pieces with polish and hanging loops. Choose from festive shapes and winter designs to brighten your tree or gift to someone special.

Christmas Highland Cow Paint Party with Angel December 6 @ 5:30–8:00 PM ~$40 Celebrate the season with a locally-loved twist: our Highland cow decked out in holiday cheer! Come paint our beloved Highland cow in full Christmas spirit! This cutie is decked out in a Santa hat and a stocking hangs on the barbed-wire fence, perfect for a rustic Christmas touch!

Snowy Friends Holiday Paint Night with Angel December 13 @ 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM ~$40 Gather your paintbrush and sense of wonder for a chilled but cheery class where you choose between two snowman scenes, "Starlight Snowman," or the "Farmhouse Snowman", every Snowy Friend becomes unique! Build your snowmans with character with added scarves, hats, mittens, and whimsical backgrounds.

“Beary” Merry Christmas Paint Night with Angel December 19 @ 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM ~$40 Cozy up for a delightful evening of holiday art featuring adorable polar bears in winter wonderland. Whether you’re painting a "Polar Bear Family," cuddling bear duo or a "Magical Christmas Tree" with a painterly winter sky, this class brings joy and whimsy to your holiday season. Add your own creative touches to make your painting unique.

Cozy Sweater Mugs with Genevieve December 22 & 29 @ 10:00am - 12:00pm ~$60 Make your new favorite mug! In this two session pottery workshop, you’ll design and hand build a “sweater textured” mug using slab techniques and cozy pattern impressions. The second session is all about glazing and adding finishing touches. A warm and relaxed class that is ideal for beginners and a perfect project for winter gifting. Students will be able to take their mugs home shortly after New Year's. Jolly Squishmas Family Paint Night Dec 22 at 5:30 pm–8:00 ~$35 Calling all art enthusiasts and plushie lovers! Bring the whole family together for a jolly evening of craft & color and receive your own 5-inch squishy holiday plush toy!! Perfect for all ages, this fun “Squish-mas” event invites you to paint festive Squishmallows in a playful holiday setting. Laugh together as you paint and celebrate creativity in a family friendly atmosphere. No experience necessary, just the spirit to make something silly & sweet!

Join this six-week morning course designed for beginners wanting to learn Sign Language in a supportive and welcoming environment. Each session builds confidence through expressive communication, Deaf culture awareness, and everyday vocabulary. A great option for families, educators, and anyone wanting to connect more meaningfully with the Deaf community. This isn’t a Certified Sign Language course, but it’s perfect for anyone looking to build basic signing skills and promote better communication.

Buck‑Stitched Belts with Leon Jan 5, 12 & 19 @ 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM ~$150 A favorite among Western craft lovers! In this hands-on workshop series, you’ll create a fully finished buckstitch belt from start to finish. Learn traditional leather techniques, including edging, punching, buckstitching, and adding decorative details. You’ll learn how to prepare your leather, punch and stitch holes, and add decorative buckstitching for a classic western look.

Djembe Drums with Cameron Jan. 13- March 24 4:00-4:40 ~$400

This West African inspired drumming class introduces students to beginning Djembe rhythms, playing together as a group, and learning a song. The class focuses on rhythm, listening, and collaboration in a fun, high-energy environment. This is an engaging, team-building experience is suitable for just about everyone!

~JANUARY CLASSES~

Pit‑Fired Pottery with Genevieve Jan 8, 15 & 22 @ 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM ~$220 A New Year's Painted Sky tradition! Explore one of the oldest and most magical forms of firing pottery. Hand-form your pieces and components and process of creating a successful pit fired pot. Students will then be given two weeks to work independently utilizing open studio time to build their pieces for the pit firing. Then the next week meet at Nomad Art Studios to prepare materials and load the pit for an evening pit fire and family style dinner. The next morning we will reveal the magical alchemy of earth and fire and unveil your finished pieces!

Winter Song Painters Choice with Angel Jan 10 @ 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM ~$40 Let the hush of winter "Snowy Mountains" or the call of songbirds "Birds on a Wire," guide your brush in this serene painting event. Choose from a selection of tranquil, snowy mountain or bird life and winter light. Your canvas becomes a visual melody of crisp air with a hint of pine and delicate winged life. No two pieces will be the same, each painter chooses their scene and makes it uniquely theirs.

Introduction to Stained Glass Jan 24 & 31 @ 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM ~$40 A welcoming introduction to the craft of stained glass. You’ll learn safe glass cutting, shaping, copper-foiling, soldering, and polishing techniques while creating your first stained-glass piece. Perfect for new students or anyone wanting a fun, supportive start to this timeless art form.

Fluid Art with Stephanie January 24 & 31 @ 5:00PM ~$55

In this fluid art up‑cycling workshop with Stephanie, you’ll explore the magic of split‑cup pouring to craft two unique works of art. You will start by pouring colorful acrylics into special split cups and letting them swirl across a glass piece, creating mesmerizing cells, waves and color combinations. Instead of discarding the runoff, you’ll capture it on a canvas, turning what might have been waste into a second finished piece. You’ll leave with both your glass piece and a coordinating canvas; two original, one‑of‑a‑kind creations.

Bag/Purse Strap Leatherworking with Leon Feb 2, 9, 16 @ 5:30–7:30 PM ~$125 Discover the art of handcrafted leatherwork in this three-session series led by Leon. You’ll learn how to cut, tool, punch, stitch, and finish your own custom purse strap, complete with your personality and style. Whether you love a rustic look, bold colors, or a clean modern design, you’ll leave with a fully finished, durable strap you can use for years.

Genealogy – Discover Your Family Tree with Jeannette Feb 4, 11, 18 & 25 @ 11:00-12:00PM $FREE Follow the stories of your ancestors and learn how to build a clear, accurate family tree. In this four week beginner-friendly class, you’ll explore different tools and techniques. Learn how to research records, track names and dates, organize documents, and avoiding common pitfalls in family history research. Bring your curiosity and any family information you already have. Learn how to turn it into a story of your own family tree!

~FEBUARY CLASSES~ “Painted with Love” with Angel Febuary 6 @ 5:30-8:00 ~$40 Celebrate the season of connection at this heartwarming paint night. Inspired by classic roses in a vase this session invites you to channel love, onto your canvas. Under Angel's gentle direction, you’ll bring to life a softly textured bouquet scene, layering color, light, and feeling. Perfect for couples, friends, or self-care nights. This class is perfect for all skill levels, so bring your creativity, and let's create some fun memories for the season!

Suds & Sweets with Angel Febuary 20 @ 5:30-8:00 ~$40 Step into a warm, laughter-filled evening as you choose your own painting adventure! Choose between two adorable designs for this fun and memorable evening of creativity! With bubbly “Suds” and sweet “Sweets” as your inspiration. Playful motifs like a cow in a bubble bath or a pig enjoying cupcake time. You’ll select the scene that speaks to your creative side. Angel guides you step-by-step, but you’re free to add your own colors, flourishes and personality. No prior painting experience required—just bring yourself and your imagination.

~PRIVATE LESSONS~ Work with Genevieve to deepen your ceramics skills in a supportive, hands-on setting. Focus on wheel throwing, hand-building, glazing techniques, or refining specific forms. With years of experience and a passion for inclusive teaching, Genevieve tailors each session to your skill level and creative goals. Beginners and advanced students!

Kara offers focused instruction for students looking to build confidence and consistency in ceramics. Need help centering, improving forms, learning surface techniques, or troubleshooting challenges? Kara provides clear guidance and encouragement in a relaxed studio environment. Ideal for students seeking personalized feedback and steady skill growth.

Shyanne provides individualized instruction designed around each student’s interests, experience, and learning style. Are you a beginner building fundamentals or an experienced musician refining technique? Shyanne creates a supportive space for growth, confidence, and creative expression. Lessons focus on skill development, musical understanding, and the joy of making music.

Cameron is a upright, electric and acoustic bassist who enjoys performing a wide range of styles. Lessons focus on rhythm, technique, note reading, and basic riffs, guiding students toward playing full songs. Instruction is tailored to each student, supporting beginners through fundamentals and helping advancing players build confidence and musicianship.

JodiLee’s lessons are fully customized to your interests. Are you just getting started? Want help using a sewing machine? Working on a specific project like garments, repairs, or creative textiles? JodiLee’s patient, practical approach makes sewing accessible and enjoyable for all skill levels!

Rachelle will help you learn how to transform stones and other materials into wearable art while developing foundational wire-wrapping techniques. These sessions are perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to refine their skills, experiment with design, and enjoy a creative, confidence-boosting experience.

ACCESS PASSES Studio Passes give you flexible access to our wellequipped spaces! Perfect for independent artists, hobbyists, or students looking to work on their own projects at their own pace. We ask that you first attend a class in the department you would like the access pass for, in addition to attending an orientation. Alternately you can purchase a private lesson with an instructor in the department who will complete orientation during your session.

Our versatile rooms offer inspiring environments for a wide range of activities—from conferences and art workshops to sports events and music practice. Each space is designed to accommodate different needs and comes equipped with essential amenities to make your event a success.

Paint Room - $100 Available Times: Two slots per day available in 5 hour blocks Book from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM or 3:00 PM-8:00 PM What’s Included: Acrylic paint and brushes for your event Plastic tablecloths (white tablecloths provided; feel free to bring extras) Table easels

Library & Music Room - $25 Available Times: Available to book in hourly time slots starting at 6:00 AM, with the final slot beginning at 8:00 PM. Room Features: Full-size piano Desk for writing or schoolwork Large window that fills the space with natural light A quiet, inspiring space for Zoom meetings, research, or creative projects

Elizabeth Urbick Community Hall Contact for Pricing Availability: Please refer to the calendar on our website to check availability for your desired dates. Pricing: $25/hr Max 2 hrs $250/day for Community Hall only. $500 Tables & chairs, cloths, lights, sound set up after 7pm day before and following morning for clean up to be completed by 5pm the following day. Saturday and Sunday only. Hall Features: Full basketball court for sports and recreation Stage with lights and a curtain for performances or events Chairs, tables, and decorations for rent as well

We’ve made a few updates to our class registration questions to ensure instructors have the information they need to provide the best possible learning experience. You’ll also notice a few optional demographic questions—these help us demonstrate community impact and secure funding that allows us to continue offering highquality programs.
