There are several ways to register for programs and activities. PADUCAH PARKS & RECREATION OFFICE

PADUCAH HOMEGROWN FARMERS' MARKET

The 2025 season is April 19 - October 11 and will be held from 7:30 am - 1:00 pm each Saturday. The Downtown Paducah Homegrown Farmers' Market is located at 306 N. 2nd Street in Downtown Paducah. Our market has a variety of local, homegrown products including fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, artisan and baked goods, soaps, and coffee from local vendors. There will be live music every Saturday at the Farmers’ Market from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm! There will not be Farmers’ Market on September 27 due to BBQ on the River.

NOBLE PARK POOL

Opening & Closing Dates

The Noble Park Pool will open Saturday May 24 and close for the season on Sunday August 10.

Holidays

The Noble Park Pool will open Monday May 26 for Memorial Day, Thursday June 19 for Juneteenth, and Friday July 4 for Independence Day.

Concessions Stand

The concessions stand is open from Noon-6:30 pm

All swimming patrons must wear proper swim attire

Children age 12 and under must be accompanied by a responsible person age 18+.

Ages 13-17 must have a Teen Access Pass or enter with a parent/guardian or responsible person 18+.

SWIMMINGLESSONS

Running, horseplay, rough housing, outside food and drink, and profanity are prohibited

Patrons using diving area must pass swim test prior to use.

Users must be 45 inches or taller to go down the two slides.

SWIMMING LESSONS

Paducah Parks & Recreation offers several levels and sessions of swimming lessons Spots fill up fast in some classes so we encourage you to register early. The classes are two-week sessions held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for 2 weeks. Friday is a make-up day when needed Two session times are available: 10:30 - 11:30 am or 6:007:00 p.m. The cost is $45 per session (tax included). Registration for Sessions 1 & 2 began April 1. Registration for Session 3 and 4 begins June 3.

ADULT SWIMMING LESSONS

Paducah Parks & Recreation will be offering Adult Swimming Lesson on Saturday, June 28 and Saturday, July 19 from 8:30 am - 11:30 am. The cost is $25 (tax included) for each date. Instructors will help participants gain confidence in the water, learn basic swimming techniques, and educate on water safety Spots are limited so we encourage you to register early.

BROCKENBOROUGH ROTARY HEALTH PARK SPRAYGROUND

Location: The sprayground is located at the Brockenborough Rotary Health Park near Harrison Street and 13th Street.

Hours of Operation: During the operating season the Sprayground operates daily from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm The facility is closed during inclement weather.

Location: The sprayground is located in the southwest corner of Robert Coleman Park at Husbands Street and Walter Jetton Boulevard.

BROCKENBOROUGH ROTARY HEALTH PARK SPRAYGROUND

The Paducah Recreation Center is located at 1527 Martin Luther King Jr Drive in the historic Fountain Avenue Neighborhood. The facility includes a gymnasium, stage, kitchen, and multi-purpose classroom. Hours are subject to change on a month-bymonth basis. VOLLEYBALL OPEN GYM

CLASSES

There are two membership options to participate in classes at the Paducah Recreation Center. The first option is a SILVER Membership which is good for 365 days. Members can then purchase an Activity Punch Pass for $10 (tax included) which gets you into 15 classes or pay a $1 Drop in Rate (tax included) as you go to each class. The second option is a GOLD Membership which is also good for 365 days No additional fees are needed to participate in classes or open gyms after purchasing a GOLD Membership.

Classes offered could change from month-to-month. Current classes offered include: Chair Yoga, Fitness Fusion, Mat Yoga, Pilates, Sit & Get Fit, Slow Flow Yoga

RESERVATIONS

The Paducah Recreation Center is available for reservations for birthday parties and athletic/fitness activities only To reserve the facility, email a completed Paducah Recreation Center Application to parkinfo@paducahky.gov. This form can be found at https://www.paducahky.gov/departments/parks-recreation/paducah-recreation-center.

Reservation requests must be approved by Paducah Parks & Recreation since there is regularly scheduled programming at the facility For additional information, contact 270-444-8508.

OPEN GYMS

Open Gym activities included with a GOLD or SILVER Membership are:

Open Gym - Members can participate in a variety of activities offered at the Paducah Recreation Center. This includes basketball, volleyball, pickleball, badminton, spikeball, futsal, and cornhole. Half-court only.

Basketball Open Gym - Full court adult basketball scrimmages.

Pickleball Open Gym - Two courts of indoor pickleball.

Tiny Tot Open Gym - Open Gym time for children ages 12 months to 5 years old. Parents/guardians must attend with child There is toddler friendly equipment and toys, with lots of space to run.

Volleyball Open Gym - Full court adult volleyball scrimmages.

Open Gym offers a variety of activities including basketball, volleyball, pickleball, badminton, spikeball, futsal, and cornhole. Staff are on hand for assistance and to checkout equipment. The court must be shared with other members who may not want to participate in full-court activities. Volleyball Open Gym and Basketball Open Gym offer full-court play for those sports.

CAMP NOBLE

Are you ready to get your child out of the house this summer and into the great outdoors? Paducah Parks & Recreation is ready to launch your camper into the best summer ever. We are ready for your camper to arrive and greet nature, gain new skills, meet new friends, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Camp Noble is for rising First Graders through rising Sixth Graders. Day Camp will be from Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Drop off and pick up will be at Shelter 16 in Bob Noble Park. Day Camp will have a fresh theme each and every week. Cost is $75 per child per week (tax included).

ADULT KICKBALL LEAGUE

Teams must be coed with a minimum of ten players, four of which must be female. Players must be at least 18 years of age There is a 20 player limit on team rosters Games for the Summer Kickball League begin on Thursday evenings beginning June 5 Games for the Fall Kickball League begin Thursday August 28. All games are at the Noble Park Fields.

The cost is $200 per team (tax included). The deadline to register is Thursday May 22 for the Summer League and August 14 for the Fall League You may register your team at the Paducah Parks & Recreation Office at 2701 Park Ave

TENNIS DRAW YOUR PARTNER DOUBLES

Come and enjoy Tennis Draw Your Partner Doubles, a social event for tennis enthusiasts where doubles teams will be randomly drawn throughout the night. You can attend by yourself or with a group. It is open to tennis players ages 16 and older. Tennis players of all playing abilities are welcome to play. There will be three Draw Your Partner Doubles events this year at the Noble Park Tennis Courts. It is FREE to participate and door prizes will be drawn for those who attend! You can register at the courts when you arrive

Paducah Parks & Recreation is hosting the Paddle Up Paducah Pickleball Tournament at the Noble Park Pickleball Courts on the second weekend of September. Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles will play Saturday, September 13. Mixed Doubles will play Sunday, September 14. Registration begins July 7. Early bird registration for the Paddle Up Paducah Pickleball Tournament ends on Thursday, August 14. This deadline guarantees participants a t-shirt in their size. The final deadline is set for Thursday, September 4. The cost is $25 per person (tax included). The player can compete in two events for an extra $10 fee (tax included). Players must be at least 16 years or older

ADULT 3 ON 3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Paducah Parks & Recreation is hosting an Adult 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament at the Noble Park Basketball Courts on Saturday September 6 at 9:00 am. The registration deadline is set for Thursday, August 21 The cost is $30 per team Players must be at least 18 years or older.

TENNIS CARNIVAL

Join in a morning of tennis fun! Paducah Parks & Recreation is hosting a Kids Tennis Carnival on Monday, June 30 at the Noble Park Tennis Courts Ages 5-8 will go from 8:30 am-9:20 am and ages 9-14 will be from 9:30 am-10:20 am. This Tennis Carnival is a FREE event for boys and girls of all playing abilities. A variety of activities and games testing your tennis skills will be part of the fun; as well as special prizes and treats. Advanced registration is not required.

PADUCAH PLAYS

Paducah Plays is centered around ambulatory learning in a fun environment. Kids will learn sharing, taking turns, and general socialization skills all while being active. The focus will be through soccer games to create chances to experience body mechanics and motor functioning in a playful environment with their peers. Cost is $50 + tax per class. Paducah Plays takes place at the Paducah Recreation Center at 1527 Martin Luther King Jr Drive

Classes Available in July with three age groups per class.

Saturdays: July 5, 12, 19, and 26 | Ages 3-4 is at 9:00 am. Ages 5-6 is at 10:00 am.

Ages 7-9 is at 11:00 am.

Sundays: July 6, 13, 20, & 27 | Middle School at 5:00 pm, High School at 6:00 pm, Middle and High School Speed of Play Training at 7:00 pm

FALL BALL YOUTH LEAGUE

Paducah Parks and Recreation will be offering a Fall Ball Youth League for boys and girls ages 4 to 9 The 4-5 year olds will play tee ball, 6-8 year olds will start with tee ball and transition to coach pitch based on each player's ability Our focus for this league will be to teach kids the fundamentals of the game including throwing, baserunning, fielding, and hitting. The league will be held on Tuesdays from 6:00 - 7:15 pm. at the Noble Park Ball Fields on September 2, 9, 16, and 23. Rain makeup days are set for September 30 and October 7..

Each night will consist of 30 minutes of practice and a scrimmage for 45 minutes Players should bring their own glove, tennis shoes or cleats, and athletic apparel All other equipment will be provided. Registration begins July 31. The cost is $25 (tax included) per child and the registration deadline is August 26.

TENNESSEE RIVERLINE FREE PADDLING EVENTS

Tennessee RiverLine: Paducah-McCracken County is hosting FREE paddling events in 2025! The kayak adventure will take off from Clarks River Landing with paddlers enjoying the Clarks River and Tennessee River and ending at the Foot of Broadway. Participants can register for a tandem or single kayak by registering with Paducah Parks & Recreation. There is a limited supply of kayaks and spots fill up fast. Also, those with their own kayaks are invited to participate, but registration is also required so that adequate transportation can be provided

Registration opens 10 days before the event on a Wednesday at 8:00 am. Free paddling events are scheduled for June 21, July 19, August 16, September 20, October 18.

Those reserving a kayak from the Tennessee RiverLine fleet will meet at the foot of Broadway by 9:00 am on the date of each event. Transportation will be available to take the participants to Clarks River Landing to begin the journey. Participants who are bringing their own kayaks should drop their kayak at Clarks River Landing by 8:30 am and then drive to the Foot of Broadway to meet the group. Tennessee RiverLine representatives will watch the kayaks at Clarks River Landing

PARK NIGHT OUT

In partnership with Early Learning Nation Collective, Paducah Parks & Recreation hosts Park Night Out events for families and people of all ages to gather and enjoy an evening in a park. Expect a variety of activities ranging from arts & crafts and sports. Park Night Out is free and guests can attend anytime between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm The August 22 Park Night Out will include an outdoor movie performance of Wicked at dusk.

GREENWAY TRAIL FUN RUN

The Greenway Trail Fun Run is for runners of all ages and skill levels. Our second Fun Run of the year will be on Wednesday, September 10 at 6:00 pm and it's free to participate Registration begins at Shelter 19 at 5:30 pm The run will start at the Greenway Trail entrance in Bob Noble Park. The trail will then head towards Stuart Nelson Park and turn around ending back at the Greenway Trail entrance. The course will be 2.5 miles. Advanced registration will not be required. There will be door prizes for participants

Throughout the summer Chapman Modern Martial Arts will be offering several martial arts classes taught by master Clint Chapman. All events will be held at 1400 HC Mathis Drive and registration can be found at wwwpaducahkygov/registration

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

The City of Paducah invites your entire family to the riverfront for the Independence Day Celebration on Friday, July 4 to enjoy family fun with food, fireworks, and free entertainment along the riverfront. An estimated 5,000 people come each year to the riverfront to enjoy Paducah’s celebration. Viewing is available along the riverfront near Wilson Stage, Schultz Park, and the Transient Boat Dock. Music will begin at 5:30 pm. Food truck vendors will open at 5:30 pm on Jefferson Street between Water & 2 Streets. The fireworks show begins at 9:15 pm. There will be some areas of the riverfront closed due to construction. Additional information on the celebration will be released soon on our website at www.paducahky.gov/independence-day-celebration

MOVIES IN THE PARK

Movies in the Park will be presenting a family-friendly movie in Bob Noble Park on Thursday nights this summer. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs, snacks, and insect repellent so you can set up on the grassy area between the Noble Park Pool and Lake Gerry B. Montgomery. Each movie will start at dusk which is approximately 8:15 pm. It is free to attend.

TINY TOT FATHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

Children 5 years old and younger are invited to celebrate Father's Day at the Paducah Recreation Center located at 1527 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive on June 13 at 9:30 am. The Father's Day Celebration will include a craft, photo station, and games A parent/guardian is required to remain with their child during the celebration. Cost is $5 per child. Pre-registration is recommended as space is limited.

NOBLE PARK SUMMER MUSIC SERIES

Paducah Parks & Recreation holds a summer music series at Noble Park with live music at th Noble Park Amphitheatre on Fridays beginning at 5:30 pm. Each event is approximately two hours long. Some evenings will have one performer for the two-hour block while other evenings will feature two performers. Parking is available by Shelter #9 (across roadway from amphitheatre) and the Noble Park Pool Sit on the steps of the amphitheatre or bring a blanket or lawn chairs.

FLAG DAY CELEBRATION

Celebrate Flag Day with our Flag Day Celebration on Friday, June 13 at 9:00 am at Dolly McNutt Memorial Plaza located at 301 South 5th Street This date marks the official adoption of the American Flag. The event includes a short ceremony with a flag raising, displays, and activities. All are welcome.

NOBLE PARK FISH OUT

The Noble Park Fish Out is a free tournament for kids from 5 to 12 years of age on Saturday, June 7 at Lake Gerry B. Montgomery in Bob Noble Park. Registration begins at 8:30 am at Shelter 10 (across the road from Noble Park Pool). Fishing is from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. An awards ceremony will follow at Shelter 10. This is a catch and release tournament.

Children may use their own pole, bring their own bait, or borrow a pole and/or bait from Paducah Parks & Recreation while supplies last A fishing license is not needed as youth under the age of 16 do not need a fishing license in Kentucky. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the categories of Most Fish Caught and Longest First for both boys and girls. Gift bags will be handed out to the first 75 people to register.

PADUCAH REGATTA

The Paducah Regatta will be on Saturday, July 12 at the Noble Park Pool. Registration begins at 8:45 am with the boat races at 10:00 am. The cost is $10 per boat (tax included). The goal is to race it across the pool without sinking using materials such as cardboard and duct tape to construct a boat

Awards include: Titanic Award for the fastest or most dramatic sinking. Largest Crew Award for the boat that is able to float while holding the most crew members. Crowd Favorite Award. Overall Winner for the boat that reaches the other side of the pool with the fastest time out of all heats. All judges' decisions are final.

Participants are given a maximum of one hour to build their boat All boat-building must stop at 9:45 am. All of the supplies to build your boat will be provided.

GREENWAY TRAIL

The Clyde F. Boyles Greenway Trail extends more than 5 miles linking residential neighborhoods with the Perkins Creek Nature Preserve, Stuart Nelson Park, Bob Noble Park, Schultz Park, and the McCracken County trail system Distance markers, shelters, and benches are located along the trail. Parking is available in Stuart Nelson Park, Bob Noble Park, and Schultz Park along Paducah’s riverfront.

WALKING TRAILS

Walking Trails can be found at the following parks:

Albert Jones Park: 0.22 mile loop trail

Bob Noble Park: Over 2.5 miles of trails and access to the Greenway Trail

Brockenborough Rotary Health Park: 0.33 mile loop trail

Riverfront/Schultz Park: Over 0.5 mile of trails and access to the Greenway Trail

NATURE TRAIL & PECK EDUCATION TRAIL

The Peck Education Trail is located on the north side of Bob Noble Park. The halfmile trail connects to the existing Nature Trail located behind the Amphitheatre with the Noble Park Trace near the Cairo Road park entrance The trail includes:

0.5 mile winding trail with boardwalks and a switchback Tree identification labels

The City of Paducah's park system has seven playgrounds located in the following parks:

HEALTH PARK FITNESS COURSE & WEIGHT EQUIPMENT

The fitness course and weight equipment are located at Pat & Jim Brockenborough Rotary Health Park at 421 North 13th Street. There are multiple pieces of outdoor weight equipment for use. Plus, there is a fitness course for people of all ages to test their abilities and coordination.

MUSIC GARDEN

This play area is in Bob Noble Park on the west side of Lake Gerry B. Montgomery. The Music Garden is the result of a public-private partnership with fundraising by seven local garden clubs and private donors to purchase the musical instruments for kids to play.

Fishi hours

Anglers 16 years and older need a state fishing license unless license exempt per Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife regulations. All anglers must follow catch limits Anglers will need a trout permit if you intend on keeping your trout

Beginning in 2010, Paducah Parks & Recreation partnered with the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources to provide great fishing opportunities at Lake Gerry B Montgomery in Bob Noble Park through the Fishing in Neighborhoods (FINs) program. Kentucky Fish & Wildlife stocks the lake with catfish and rainbow trout each year.

OHIO RIVER BOAT LAUNCH

The Ohio River Boat Launch is located at 275 Burnett Street at the intersection of North 6th and Burnett Street just north of downtown The lighted facility consists of an 85space parking area and a five to six lane boat ramp providing access to the Ohio River.

DOG PARKS

The new Noble Park Dog Park opened in May 2024 and is located adjacent to the Anna Baumer Building in Noble Park. It has both large dog park and small dog park areas with parking, shelters, and access to water fountains

Independence Park has a dog park in a fenced-in area of the park. Water and benches are available. This dog park opened in fall of 2021. It is located at the corner of Lone Oak Road and Alben Barkley Drive (114 Forest Circle)

STUART NELSON DISC GOLF COURSE

The Stuart Nelson Disc Golf Course is an 18-hole disc golf course at Stuart Nelson Park which originally opened in 2007. This course is temporarily closed due to construction of the Paducah Sports Park Please contact Paducah Parks & Recreation at 270-4448508 for any questions related to the disc golf course.

BASKETBALL COURTS

Paducah has three city parks with basketball courts that are open during park hours.

Bob Noble Park has four full-sized, lighted courts located on the west side of the Noble Park Pool and next to the Arts & Crafts Building.

Robert Coleman Park has one full-sized basketball court with bleacher seating.

Voor Park has a half basketball court located at 1203 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.

TENNIS COURTS

Bob Noble Park is home to five full-sized and two junior tennis courts located near the Robert Cherry Civic Center that were resurfaced in summer 2024. LED lights were recently installed that can be turned on each evening by users.

Benches are available at each court. Bleachers are located outside the fence for spectators. A restroom facility is located next to the courts. The tennis courts are open during park hours.

ROBERT COLEMAN PARK

PICKLEBALL COURTS

Eight new pickleball courts opened to the public in Bob Noble Park in September 2023 across from the tennis courts. There are lights that can be used by players in the evenings which will automatically turn on. Benches, bleachers, and shade structures are available for players and spectators. A restroom facility is located across the road from the courts The pickleball courts are open during park hours.

PADUCAH SKATEPARK

The Paducah Skatepark is located on the west side of Bob Noble Park. It is behind the ballfields and next to the entrance to the Greenway Trail. There is no cost to use the skatepark. Paducah Skatepark is open during park hours and lights are turned on in the evenings. All users must follow posted facility rules. Know your abilities and skate at your own risk. Users must wear a protective helmet. A restroom is located next to our skatepark.

SHELTER RESERVATIONS

Paducah Parks & Recreation offers several park shelters that can be reserved for your special event. Reservations cannot be made more than one year in advance. For reservations go online at www.paducahky.gov/shelter-and-facility-reservations or contact us at 270-444-8508. All shelter reservations have 6% tax added to the fee. If shelters are not reserved, they are available on a first come-first serve basis.

Please refer to park maps and capacity of each shelter listed online when considering which shelter works best for your event. The fees depend on the size of the shelter. Reservations are for a single day during regular park hours. Shelters include picnic tables and some include grills. Select shelters at Bob Noble Park and Robert Coleman Park offer electric for an additional cost.

ARTS & CRAFTS BUILDING

ARTS & CRAFTS BUILDING | ANNA BAUMER BUILDING

The newly reonvated Arts & Craft Building and Anna Baumer Building are both available for reservation and offer an open meeting room, men's and women's restroom, standard refrigerator/freezer, microwave, sink, plus heat and air conditioning. The Arts & Crafts Building is located near the basketball courts and Greenway Trail entrance in Bob Noble Park. The Anna Baumer Building is located near the Noble Park Dog Park.

Building Capacity: 30 people for both buildings

Reservation Fee: $75 per day + tax for each building

BALLFIELDS & BATTING CAGES

Paducah Parks & Recreation has six ballfields at Bob Noble Park. Ballfields can be reserved in person at the Paducah Parks & Recreation Office, by phone at 270-444-8508, or online. All ballfield reservations have 6% tax added to the fee. If ballfields are not reserved, they are available on a first come-first serve basis Fields impacted by wet conditions, or are lined for a reservation, are not available for use

Rates:

$10 per hour: This does not include fields that are lined and dragged.

$20 per hour: This includes fields that are lined and dragged at the start of the reservation period. Minimum of three hours.

$75 per day per field for tournaments: This includes fields that are lined and dragged by the start of the first game

Requests for facility reservations can be made in person at the Paducah Parks & Recreation Office located at the Robert Cherry Civic Center at 2701 Park Ave during office hours. This is a great venue for events, weddings, parties, and presentations. The dock, located downstream from downtown Paducah, provides space for transient boaters to enjoy Paducah by spending a few hours or spending several nights Amenities include fuel (diesel and marine grade gasoline), water, power pedestals, and a sewer pumpout station (seasonal for water and sewer amenities).
