True Leaders Don’t Create Followers - They Create More Leaders We believe our community’s competitive advantage is its leaders, which is why our leadership programs are one of our most important initiatives. The Paducah Chamber’s Leadership Center is the hub of many leadership and workforce-related programs. The vision for the Leadership Center is to provide a legacy of leadership for the community and motivate leaders for the future. Its mission is to enlighten, inspire, and connect a diverse continuum of next-level leaders to advance a robust talent pipeline to support existing businesses, future economic development, and community organizations.

Advocacy: We Deliver Results! Advocacy is who we are.
The Paducah Chamber represents our members and our community at the local, state, and federal levels.
“We never want it to be said locally, in Frankfort or in Washington that we are only noticed by our absence. Paducah is always noted by our presence. For decades we have been on the Capitol steps advocating for our community. We show up. We know how to deliver results.”
Our advocacy work focuses on legislation that could help or hurt our business community including our small businesses.
Two recent major focus areas for advocacy efforts of the Paducah Chamber have been on the Paducah Department of Energy site and Barkley Regional Airport.
The DOE site (formerly Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant) is a major employer in the area. The Chamber meets regularly with DOE and our Congressional delegation to secure funding for this project with the intention of continuing to recruit additional funding as available. The Paducah Chamber was awarded a $2 million grant from DOE to lead a reindustrialization study of the site to determine future development. Barkley Regional Airport is home to a new $42 million terminal that replaces one built almost 70 years ago thanks to local, state and federal funds.

Support for Small Business
The Chamber is a resource, advocate and connector for businesses. People do business with those they know and trust. We help our small businesses to be known in the community! The Chamber strives to assist our small businesses succeed by providing improvement strategies through professional development seminars, programs and resources. The Chamber has programs and solutions for all sizes of business.
Seminars / Workshops We believe in continuous learning and professional development. Members attend our seminars and workshops to gain valuable insights, learn new skills, and stay up-to-date with industry trends. These events are designed to empower our members with knowledge they can use. The Small Business Cohort is open to small business owners and managers. Cohort participants are presented with tools to help grow their business, learn more about areas that may be holding them back, participate in peer discussion, receive guidance from business coaches on specific problem areas, and build confidence to help them get to the next level of success.
Additional Resources The Paducah Chamber Works With: The Kentucky Small Business Development Center provides one-on-one business coaching at no cost to existing and potential entrepreneurs. The center also offers a variety of low cost training programs and qualified SBDC Coaches. The Murray State University Center for Economic and Entrepreneurial Development (CEED) provides economic and entrepreneurial support services as an outreach of the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business through consulting, training and to both pre-venture and existing business and industry. West Kentucky Community and Technical College Workforce Solutions has designed services and training opportunities to increase economic development in our region. 6

Power in Partnership Breakfasts On average, over 300 attend our monthly breakfasts, where members network and learn from speakers about vital issues, fostering collaboration among business leaders and key stakeholders.
EmpowerHER The Chamber’s annual women’s conference provides an outlet for women across generations to come together for personal and professional growth opportunities.
Ribbon Cuttings There is nothing more rewarding than attending the ribbon cutting for a new business. A ribbon cutting is a celebration of a dream come true for a small business owner. Each one is also a celebration of another success for our community. Join us on these special occasions and show your support for local entrepreneurs.
Workforce and Education
Business Education Partnership is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
The Chamber’s Business Education Partnership (BEP) bridges the gap between businesses and schools. It plays a crucial role in the Chamber’s focus on education and workforce, holding special events to promote education and a trained workforce. The West Kentucky LAUNCH Experience is an interactive career expo for eighth-grade students in McCracken County. It introduces them to highdemand business sectors in western Kentucky, supporting the Chamber’s focus on education and workforce.
