PA Cyber’s summer activities offer students of all age groups opportunities to learn something new and have fun while school’s out. Take on an adventure, learn a new skill, and get to know your peers. We are offering a mix of virtual and in-person programs. These activities do not offer credit toward graduation. Bats are one of the most misunderstood animals. In this summer club session, students will learn all about bat facts and the common myths that simply aren't true. Students will also get to build their very own bat box from a DIY bat box kit. Come join us as we explore this unique, misunderstood creature.

Putting Our Pieces Together Quilting Club Advisor Katie Batting Grades 9-12 Dates Session 2: July 11-July 29 Monday/Wednesday Times 2:00 PM-3:00 PM Description You may think of quilting as an old, boring task that your grandma does, but it is so much more than that. Join us as we piece together bits of fabric to create a piece of art. You will learn a method of quilting called English Paper Piecing. The great thing about EPP is that it doesn't require a sewing machine! You don't really even have to have much experience with a needle and thread. You'll be amazed at what you can do! Recycle Tees Please Advisor Erin Butler Grades 6-12 Dates Session 2: July 11-July 29 Monday/Wednesday Times 9:00 AM-10:00 AM Description Pull out those old T-shirts and give them some new life. In this workshop we will use your old T-shirts to do some pretty awesome projects. We will learn a simple marker tie-dye technique, a no-sew pillow, a small take-along bag, and many more. During our exploration of trees, club members will work on identifying trees by their leaves. Each student will be encouraged to share the trees in their yards and/or local surroundings. Our club activities will include outdoor exploration and leaf collection. In fact, the last week will be for leaf presentations and what club members learned about their favorite tree(s).

Philadelphia Field Trip “Long before the first musket shot was fired in Lexington in 1775, the seeds of the American Revolution were taking root in Philadelphia as the colonists declared their independence and began preparing for war.” Family Link is excited to offer two days of exploring and learning about the rich history of Philadelphia! This is the school’s first year hosting a two-day trip to the area and it will be an exciting two days of learning, seeing historic sights, and FUN! The Constitution Center The Constitutional Walking Tour
WHERE TO STAY OVERNIGHT PA Cyber families and guests are invited to stay the night of June 23 in Philadelphia, allowing more time for sightseeing! PA Cyber has reserved a block of rooms at the hotel. You must call the hotel directly to make your reservation. Notify the reservation agent that you are with the PA Cyber group. This is only a suggestion-there are a lot of overnight options available. A guided activity will be set up for each machine/device allowing families to drop-in and experience an array of polytechnic activities such as 2D and 3D design, robotics programming, simple circuitry, etc. With a simple guided activity, the goal is to give families a taste of future polytechnic programming and generate interest and excitement for the concepts of innovation, imagination, and creation!
