PacificSport is creating programs for everyone in the community with the goal to
The After School Sport & Art Initiative entered it’s 11tth year being offered by PSVI. In collaboration with Nanaimo-Ladysmith Public Schools, we managed to provide over 33 programs, with support of our 56 sports leaders and volunteers.
Coach Academy entered it’s third year in 2023. The objective for this year was clear. Provide different workshops alongside the NCCP courses that are delivered throughout the length of the program, as well as increasing the number of coaches joining the program.
In 2023-24, PacificSport Vancouver Island hosted and delivered over 20 program focused on high performance athletes. Programs include; Concussion Workshop, Nutrition and preparation for BC Games.
During this year, we had over 70 athletes that were able to access different services through Registered Athlete Services. From free gym memberships, to discounts in hotels.
Our Athlete’s conquered the podiums this year, with over 40+ medals and achievements including; BC junior female Athlete of the Year (Emmy Lan), Gold in Panamerican games (Ethan Kratzberg) and Jr Double Mini National Champion (Owen Harbo).
