Christmas Storytelling: The Perfect Snowflake

THE pERfect snowflake

One chilly day in December, Santa’s friends gathered at his Lodge to prepare for the busy holiday season.

Everyone had a very important job to do, including Mikey.

Mikey looked out the window and noticed something quite peculiar…As the snow drifted onto his palm, he saw something he had never seen before – A WONKY-SHAPED SNOWFLAKE WITH NO PATTERNS! Mikey thought THIS WAS A DISASTER! How would Santa and his friends create the most bEAuTIful AND magical ChrIStmAS if the snow wasn’t perfect?

A nosy squirrel rushed over to tell Mikey about a book he read on “Mt. ChrIStmAS REsORt” located on the tallest mountain in the world.

There lived the Yetis, who were known to work all year long to design unique snowflakes and when the time comes, they release ONLY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SNOWFLAKES TO LAST THROUGH CHRISTMAS. There was no time to waste!

Mikey quickly packed his bag and headed out to find the Yetis!

As Mikey approached a small bend in the snowy forest, he came across a group of wise owls. Mikey hoped they would help him find the Yetis.

Miraculously, the oldest owl pulled out an ANCIENT MAP hidden in the nook of the tree trunk “I’VE HELD ONTO THIS FOR MANY YEARS. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY!” said the owl.

Mikey held onto the map in a moment of relief!

Mikey finally reached “Mt. ChrIStmAS REsORt”.

As he looked up, he saw a whole village of Yetis!

Mikey quickly used the snow to dISguISe himself as one of them and made his way into the resort to find the Yeti responsible for creating the strange snowflakes.

Mikey reached the snowflake creator’s cabin – inside, there was a small, scruffy looking Baby Yeti. Baby Yeti was hammering away at massive blocks of ice, looking frustrated as he tried and tried again to create delicate snowflakes.

The job of creating snowflakes was PASSED ON TO HIM FROM MANY GENERATIONS but he had lost all motivation to come up with new ideas.

Mikey comes up with a great idea, “I know exactly wHAt yOU nEEd!” said Mikey.

He grabbed Baby Yeti by the pinky and exclaimed “we’RE goINg ON a vacATION!”.

Mikey decided to bring Baby Yeti to all his favourite holiday places on the other side of the world to find some new ideas and to have a little fun!

They go to all the places Baby Yeti had never been before.

They went to the bEAch to try out surfINg,

They shopped at the biGGESt maLL, and ate lots AND lots OF ice cREam along the way.

They visited a crazy wATER pARk,

Mikey and Baby Yeti returned to Mt. Christmas Resort fuLL OF new iDEAS, and they began to work on the snowflake designs inspired by their vacation.

Each design was wonderfully creative.

Some were inspired by the big waves they saw at the beach, others were inspired by the perfect ice cream swirl!

It was time for Mikey to head back to Santa’s Lodge. “THAnk yOU FOR INSPIRING ME TO BE cREATiVE agaIN!“ said Baby Yeti.

The new friends agreed to visit each other for more exciting adventures together.

As Mikey made his way back to the Lodge, he looked up at the sky smiling HE cOUldn’t waIT TO sEE THE pERfect snowflakES faLL thIS ChrIStmAS!

Something is wrong with the snowflakes all around the world this year! They come in a myriad of wonky shapes! Let’s join Baby Yeti and friends on their exciting journey to solve the mystery and bring Christmas back to life!
