What is Autism?
The PACE School
Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neuro-developmental disability that affects an individual’s ability to communicate, interact socially, and learn in conventional ways.
A non-profit, non-public school, certified by the California Department of Education and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The PACE School serves students ages 6 - 22 years old with moderate-to-severe autism.
Sunny Days Preschool Sunny Days Preschool is a California Licensed Child Care Center offering an inclusive program for 3 – 6-year-olds. The program supports children on the autism spectrum, neurotypical children, and those needing a little extra support in a responsive and nurturing environment.
PACE Residential
PACE operates five group homes in Santa Clara County licensed to serve residents from 6 to 59+ years of age. Each group home is managed by a team of trained residential staff members, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Faces Behavioral Therapy
Faces offers behavioral therapy for children ages 18 months to 14 years old. Faces Behavioral Therapy is based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Under the direction of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Faces therapists work on challenging behaviors and developing communication and social skills.
Porchlight Autism Education Series Porchlight is our free eLearning program with over 50 modules designed for parents or caregivers of children with autism and/or related developmental disabilities. Our library offers behavioral solutions to common daily challenges. Browse a variety of topics at www.porchlighteducation.org
Autism can be diagnosed as early as 18 months. Research shows that early intervention services can greatly improve a child’s development and allow them to reach their full potential.
