Robert (“Bob”) Robotti is the President and CIO of Robotti & Company, an investment advisor focused on identifying small cap, public companies substantially mispriced by the public markets, a traditional value investing approach. Prior to founding the firm in 1983, Bob was CFO and shareholder of Gabelli & Co. working extensively with its namesake, the legendary investor Mario Gabelli. Bob started out in public accounting with Pustorino & Puglisi, working for Tony Pustorino and on the audits of many investment managers, including yet other legendary Value Investors at Tweedy, Browne. Bob is currently an inactive CPA.

Bob holds a BSBA from Bucknell University and an MBA in Accounting from Pace University. In the hunt for mispriced public companies, Bob spends much of his time focused on businesses and industries experiencing distressing economic conditions. Over the decades his experiences have been extensive in energy industries, real estate and particularly homebuilding, and many cyclical, industrial businesses. Bob’s investments tend to be multidecade relationships, including joining the boards of a number of investments. Currently he is a board member at AMREP, Tidewater and chairs the board of Pulse Seismic. Bob is also a member of the Pace University Board of Trustees since 2017, a Trustee of Xavier High School as well as Trustee of John Cabot University, in Rome.

Suzanne (“Su”) Robotti is the Founder and President of MedShadow Foundation, the Executive Director of membership organization DES (Diethylstilbestrol) Action USA and the Consuer Rep on the FDA Drug Safety and Risk Management Advisory Committee.

MedShadow, an internet platform, educates the general public on how to balance the anticipated benefits and risks of medicines. As a leading health consumer and patient rep, Su advocates for targeted use of medicines, a consideration of alternative therapies, and a focus on healthy diet, exercise and lifestyle choices. Prior to founding MedShadow Foundation, she had a successful publishing industry career as founder of Cradle Publishing and, later, Baby Publishing LLC which was acquired by Bertelsmann in 1999.

Su is a trustee of Springfield College, former Board President of Variety Boys & Girls Club, and is an advisor to Pace University’s Master of Science degree in Publishing Program, providing professional insight and guidance ensuring curriculum was in alignment with rapidly changing publishing industry needs and digital technology for the past 15 years.
