What I’ve Seen
By Mariam
A blade–Israeli soldiers come in the middle of the night.
When I can’t sleep at night, a tank that I often don’t see.
An airstrike that hit my home— but an airstrike that didn't hit me.

We are Real
By Serena Zeidan
Sitting in the cold cell–disconnected walls, food from the garbage I am forced to eat.
Cameras everywhere. I can’t breathe. I know we will rise, I know it is real—
We are real.
