Featuring Tomosharp technology and Adapt Anatomic fi lters for panoramic and cephalometric imaging, digital panoramic X-ray systems CS 8100 EVO Edition,

CS 8100SC, CS 8100 3D and CS 8100SC 3D from

Carestream will deliver better image quality.

Metal artifact reduction (MAR) and advanced noise reduction (ANR) are also available for cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) in

CS 8100 3D and CS 8100SC 3D units.

Tomosharp is the brand new algorithm for panoramic image reconstruction. It signifi cantly improves image sharpness and

increases tolerance to imperfect positioning. Combined with AI-powered positioning and new image processing, this technology reduces retakes up to 60% on some sites, allowing users to obtain better images more easily.

NEW CS ADAPT FILTER For panoramic images, the Anatomic Endo fi lter increases visibility of root canals, ligament spaces and potential decay in the crowns, while providing a clearer diff erentiation between enamel and dentine. On the other hand, Anatomic Perio off ers clear visibility of ligament spaces, bone ridges and soft tissues. ADVANCED NOISE REDUCTION AND METAL ARTIFACT REDUCTION The new algorithm for 3D image reconstruction is the Advanced Noise Reduction (ANR), which reduces image noise while preserving clinical details.

The live comparison tool, Metal Artifact Reduction (MAR) algorithm, enables users to toggle from a standard reconstruction algorithm (FDK) to MAR images. Together with the above-mentioned features, the option helps clinicians to make a more precise and safer diagnosis. DA
