On the 5th December 2018, Dentsply Sirona opened its doors to celebrate the newly opened, state-of-the-art Dentsply Sirona APAC showroom and training centre in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong.

Roland DGA Corporation Appoints Mr. Andrew Oransky as CEO

70 years of practical innovations from dentists for dentists and deliveries to more than 100 countries confirm the success of the manufacturer of dental instruments. In 1948, the dentist Dr. Julius Walser, born in December 1894, founded the “Dr. J. Walser Dentalfabrikation” in the Fürstenbergstraße in Radolfzell. Already in 1938, the founder Dr. Julius Walser owned the fi rst telephone in Radolfzell with the short number “300.” This telephone was an important means of communication, also for the citizens of Radolfzell. The fi rst participation at dental exhibitions already took place in 1948 in Munich. In 1960 the company moved to the Teggingerstaße. In 1978 the company was rebranded “Dr. Walser Dental GmbH.” Sen. Gerhard R. Daiger took over the entire company in 1999 and since then Roland DGA, a provider of digital imaging and 3D devices for professionals, announced on 4th January that Mr. Andrew Oransky has been appointed the company’s new CEO. Mr. Oransky has served as president, responsible for day-to-day operations at the Irvine, California-based company since 2016. In his expanded role as CEO, he will assume overall responsibility for company strategy and performance and will report directly to the board of directors at parent company Roland DG.

Nobel Biocare Expands Global Symposium into Larger Global Symposia Series

Nobel Biocare announced that it will expand its signature event, the Nobel Biocare Global Symposium, into a series of symposia around the globe to bring the next wave of groundbreaking innovation to more dental professionals worldwide.

The larger Nobel Biocare Global Symposia event series will span from 2019 to 2021 and take place in Europe, North America and Asia.

The originally scheduled Global Symposium will still take place in June of 2019, however, instead of the previously announced, Las Vegas, the fi rst stop will be changed to Europe where the initial wave of gamechanging solutions from Nobel Biocare will be available fi rst.

The Global Symposium in Las Vegas will be held in April 2020, followed by another Global Symposium in Asia during 2021.

Henry Schein and the International College of Dentists’ (ICD) Global Visionary Fund (GVF) have once again joined together to support the oral health of children. This time, products were donated to the Fleur de Vie’s health awareness and education initiative during their back to school program. From September to December 2018, more than 400 grammar school age children attended a one-day program and took part in health education, physical fitness, and recreational activities.
