EOLO-PLUS Advice to choose an aspiration unit

You may be currently interested in buying a new aspiration unit. In this case, you are lucky, because you will find many models and manufacturers of excellent products in the market. We would like to give you several useful tips for you to choose the most suitable model.

l First of all, be objective. Do not let names, nationality or any other information from the dealer influence you. Do not pay attention to set phrases such as “there must be something wrong if it is so cheap”, “cheap products often prove to be expensive”, “in XX (country) they have never been good at manufacturing machines” and so on. Take into account just reasons, facts and arguments. Never accept disparaging remarks from dealers. Compare at least three models (four, better) before choosing one.

l In this kind of machine the motor is a key point to obtain an excellent output. Above all, it should be robust and durable. The noise level must not be high when working at ordinary aspiration power. Besides, if the motor allows replacing the brushes, you will save a lot of money on the machine’s maintenance. Finally, another important feature is the chance of replacing the motor quickly and with no tools. This will save you a lot of effort and time.

l The machine’s shape and its general concept are decisive points. You should create a mental picture of the place where you want to install the machine: Will it be placed under a table? Where will the aspiration hoses come out? Will it work together with a Ciclón? Will the controls be easily accessible?... You should take into account these questions before choosing a model.

l Check out that the machine has an optimal ergonomic design and it is easy to use: the controls should be accessible from a sitting position, replacing the brushes should be an easy operation. The machine should be easily moved from and to different places (wheels, handles...).

l The aspiration circuit is also important. It should have an efficient filtering system, prepared to filter very small and highly abrasive particles. And this is why domestic aspiration units are of no use, since domestic dirt and industrial dirt are quite different. So the filters should be adapted to this environment. Besides, the system should produce as little noise as possible (no vibrations, humming, etc.)

l Check out the details as well: the touch of the buttons in the control-panel, a smooth operation, being easy to clean, an easy access to the filters... are distinctive features of a good brand. Quality is not improvised; it requires years of effort, patience and experience.

l Although it is a secondary feature, do not forget the product’s design: a modern and efficient professional should use modern and efficient tools. Several decades old designs offer a poor look of your laboratory. Robustness, efficiency, ergonomics and price are not at odds with aesthetics.

After analyzing the aspects above, consider the price, the technical support and all the other services offered by the manufacturer. Think over all this information, and make your choice. If you take into account all these tips, be sure you will always make the right choice, whatever you decide.
