Welcome to OZ Kink Fest 2025 WEEKEND WORKSHOP INTENSIVE!

This weekend represents a gathering point for the Kink, Bondage, Fetish, and BDSM communities of Australia and beyond. We’ve organised a series of workshops led by established practitioners from both domestic and international scenes. These sessions, tailored specifcally for Oz Kink Fest, offer attendees insights, techniques, demonstrations, hands-on-learning and discussions from leading practitioners in the scene.

Your participation is an opportunity to engage directly with experts and deepen your understanding of the practices and dynamics that interest you.

SCHEDULE

Saturday, 18th October: Workshops commence at 12 noon. Attendees are requested to arrive by 11:30 am.

Sunday, 19th October: The workshops continue, starting at 11 am.

Workshop Selection

There are three distinct streams available each day, with eight or nine workshops within each stream.

Participants are able to select one workshop from each stream. In this document, you will fnd the schedule followed by detailed descriptions of each session.

Arrival Guidelines

To ensure a smooth check-in process, please arrive approximately an hour before the start of your frst workshop. This provides adequate time to familiarize yourself with the venue and retrieve your event map.

Express yourself but we recommend comfortable attire is recommended for all workshops to ensure an unobstructed experience.

Given the limited food options in the vicinity of the venue, attendees have the option to bring their own meals. Alternatively, we are offering a variety of omnivore and vegan meals for preorder.

HAJIME KINOKO

Hajime Kinoko (he/him) took up rope for the frst time in 2001, because his then-girlfriend was interested in rope. When the rope master Akechi Denki held a workshop at the club he was working at, Kinoko really learned the meaning of tying people.

In 2008, Kinoko began taking lessons from Nawashi Kanna, who was a student of Akechi Denki. From Kanna, Kinoko learned to tie intricately and beautifully. The Gote shibari that Kinoko now teaches is based on Kanna’s tying and slightly customized.

Later Kinoko met Haruki Yukimura, and took lessons from him for several years. From Yukimura, Kinoko learned how to interact with models, how to show a model’s body line in an aesthetically pleasing way, among other techniques.

In 2018, most of the techniques Kinoko has been teaching are based on Kanna’s method whom he refers to as his former teacher to express his gratitude for using his method for 10 years. Kinoko’s pioneering and dynamic style with Cyber Rope is now legendary and he travels world wide teaching and performing.

Kinoko is also a founding member of Ichinawa-kai and an organizer of the Toubaku International Rope Bondage event. Kinoko has been profled on VICE and appeared on Anthony Bourdain’s “Parts Unknown: Tokyo.”

Tied Torture Floor Play - Beginner

This performance presents the art of bondage without the need for suspension or elevation, using the ground itself as a stage of power. The ropes are employed to create intense restraints, forcing the body into positions that evoke discomfort, tight confnement, and restricted movement. Even while remaining on the foor, every posture is charged with pressure and a profound sense of struggle and torment.

Basic Semi Suspension - Beginner

This performance explores the use of semi-suspension — a form of rope bondage where part of the body is lifted off the ground while still supported by certain points of contact. By elevating the body partially, the rope creates a dynamic balance between weightlessness and grounding, allowing for both restraint and fuid interaction.

The structure is designed to make the body accessible and positioned in ways that are suited for intimacy in mid-air. Emphasis is placed on safety protocols, communication, and aftercare. The workshop encourages participants to experience different roles — as rigger, model, and spotter — to gain a comprehensive understanding of full suspension work.

Floral and Rope

This workshop combines the art of Shibari with the Japanese tradition of Ikebana. Participants will learn how to use rope to create structure on the body, then integrate fowers and natural elements into the design, turning the bound form into a living canvas.

The focus is on aesthetics and artistic expression — exploring the dialogue between fragility and strength, bondage and beauty, human form and natural adornment.

Suspension and Breath Play

This performance explores the extremities of rope bondage through full suspension combined with elements of breath control. The body is lifted entirely into the air, suspended by intricate ties that hold every part in tension.

Mistress Danielle is an independent professional dominatrix who previously worked at Melbourne’s oldest BDSM dungeon. She is passionate about teaching and supporting individuals in exploring their sexuality within a safe, respectful space.

Danielle’s kink journey has taken her around the globe. Earlier this year, she toured internationally, playing in Hong Kong and Thailand. She has also performed at the 10th Montreal Fetish Weekend in Canada, worked with Serious Bondage in San Francisco, and played professionally in both London and Canada.

Nawashi Supaku has been a long-standing, electrifying presence at Oz Kink Fest — captivating audiences and students alike with his intricate technique, focused precision, and deeply connected style of rope play.

What began in 2015 as a curious pull toward rope quickly became a full-blown obsession. Supaku immersed himself in the art of shibari, learning from local masters and chasing every opportunity to travel interstate for workshops, performances, and mentorship. His dedication eventually took him all the way to Japan, where in 2020 he was formally accepted as a deshi (student) of the legendary Nawashi Kanna Sensei. That same year, he earned his teaching certifcate in the Kanna Ryu style — a rigorous, exacting form of rope that prioritises structure, fow, and connection.

Known for his uncanny ability to read the body and adapt ties to each partner’s needs, Supaku brings a striking combination of intuitive touch, technical prowess, and emotional depth to every scene. Psychological Safety for Submissives is an interactive, peer-led space for S-types to come together and discover our unique and individual needs for staying mentally safe in kink and BDSM. This workshop is informed by lived experience and evidence-based practice and will explore topics such as:

- the nervous system 101 - sensory needs and wants

- identifying and communicating triggers - self soothing, regulation and co-regulation - creating sustainable kink practice

- Psychological emergency/crisis guidance and resources

Together we will build a toolkit to guide you through submission with greater psychological safety and ease. This workshop features a live demonstration of play and psychological safety practices and is suitable for both beginners and experienced players. This workshop works toward empowering the kink community by upskilling in psychological safety with the aim of building a safer, sustainable and resilient kink scene in Melbourne and nationally.

Cam_E_Leon has been enthusiastically exploring the world of impact play for over a decade, with a particular passion for fogging — his favourite form of connection and expression. Practicing almost daily, his love for the rhythm, creativity, and intimacy of impact is at the heart of his scenes.

In this beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop, Cam_E_Leon will introduce you to the fundamentals of fogging, including:

A large portion of the class is dedicated to practical learning, including guided exercises and free time for practice. Cam_E_Leon will offer personalised tips and feedback throughout.

PARADAX

Paradax is a passionate needle play enthusiast with a particular focus on decorative sharps and stencil work. Since discovering her love for needle play in 2017, she has honed her craft with a keen eye for detail and a steady hand — especially over the past 18 months, where her dedication to precision and artistic expression has fourished.

In late 2024, Paradax and her partner launched TheStencil Lab, a creative project aimed at sharing unique stencil designs and igniting inspiration within the global needle play community. Their mission: to bring more beauty, creativity, and confdence into the world of decorative sharps.

Paradax has taught needle play techniques both in local kink spaces and through online forums, where she creates welcoming, educational environments for newcomers and experienced players alike. In this class, Paradax will break down the basics to get you started in this incredible form of play that can be sensual or sadistic, but always artistic. Within this class, she will include a description and discussion about needle play as well as a demonstration. This will include all set up and preparation, techniques for needle application, a discussion on aftercare, and the pack down and cleaning required post-play. There is no obligation to partake in any practical portion of this class - participants are welcome to come along with the desire to watch and observe only.

Needles 201

In this class, Paradax will take you beyond the basics and into more advanced techniques to elevate your play piercing into true body art. In this class, Paradax invites you to explore the full spectrum of artistic expression through sharps play; blending precision, creativity, and sensation. This class introduces a wider range of tools and techniques to expand your repertoire, including working with piercing needles for delicate detail, small and decorative hooks for striking visual elements, and weaving together themes from ‘Needles 201’ such as stenciling, stacking, and tension work. Miss Honey Analverkehr

With over a decade in the Melbourne kink scene, Miss Honey Analverkehr is a skilled and passionate Dominatrix whose journey refects a deep commitment to lifelong learning, mentorship, and excellence in BDSM.

Her formal training began in 2018 under the legendary Lauren Dior (formerly of Fetish House) at Venus Babes. After completing her apprenticeship, she went on to train new apprentices at the same dungeon — a role she would later reprise after Venus Babes transitioned to its new identity, Manor of Sin. Drawing from her lived experience as both a top and bottom, and as a qualifed Dominatrix and trainer of apprentices, the presenter will share practical insights, adaptations, and considerations often overlooked in mainstream workshops.
