Quins Programme 31st Jan 2026

Page 1

On behalf of Oxford Harlequins, it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to Barnes RFC for our second home meeting in two seasons, promising a highly anticipated contest based on recent encounters

We are delighted to host you on the AGP despite the recent heavy rainfall and further rain in the forecast.

We have always prided ourselves on fostering a friendly and inclusive environment for our visitors and trust you will enjoy a memorable visit with our growing team of loyal volunteers, supporters and club officials.

Our committee is actively planning the next phase of upgrades to the club, including the much-needed clubhouse improvements We are pleased that the reception room has been reinstated for pre-match welcomes, supported by our capable catering team

The history of the club formed through the Oxford Marathons and Oxford Old Boys is now proudly visible again, alongside recognition of our Women’s, Men’s, Juniors and Academy teams

The representative shirts on display as you enter are particularly significant Academy coach and father Keni Fisilau’s Tongan colours are an inspiration as his son, Greg, prepares to make his England back-row debut next week, having developed through our M&Js alongside some of today’s young 1st XV players.

Today’s 2nd XV fixture against Old Priorians will also be played on the AGP ahead of the 1st XV by prior arrangement, demonstrating admirable flexibility to ensure pitch preservation for all weekend users

I am very much looking forward to the games today, which I’m sure will be fiercely competitive but played with respect and in the spirit of our values, alongside the widening range of refreshments available in the clubhouse

We wish both teams the very best of luck
