Introduction to Design Thinking

Transform an idea into a viable business

Four-part online programme, starting Thursday, 6th May

Four-part programme, starting Wednesday, 19th May, 16.00-18.00

This series will teach you about the process of Design Thinking; you will learn how to use Design Thinking to enhance your skills in creativity, complex problem solving, and collaborating with others - vital skills employers are looking for whatever career you want to get into, or if you want to found a venture.

You will be given access to weekly modules and relevant learning resources. Once completed, you will be awarded a certificate of attendance, signed by the Foundry and Rudi Sellers.

This series will take you through some of the fundamental stages of developing an idea, covering the practical steps and frameworks that will help you to turn that idea into a potential venture.

New to Python? Sign up for a link to our prerecorded beginner’s course. This is an opportunity to learn the basics of Python, and to connect with other new programmers on the course's online platform.

This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your basic Python skills to three intermediate-level projects. Following the introductory session, the project sessions will take place w/c 8th March.

Basic understanding of Python required.

This course is for beginners and for people with no programming experience from any discipline.

Careers Fair: Thursday, 10th June The 2021 Summer Careers Fair will be co-hosted by the Careers department and Enterprising Oxford in collaboration with the Oxford Foundry and Oxford University Innovation. The virtual fair will feature a wide variety of industries and vacancies and is open to all 24,000 University of Oxford undergraduates and postgraduates, as well as recent alumni and researchers.

OXFO Entrepreneurship School A virtual learning environment launching later this year that will provide you with curated video masterclasses and practical resources, to help you upskill in entrepreneurship and tech and build purpose-driven ventures.

Opportunity: Entrepreneurial Fellowship Initiative In partnership with Santander Universities, we will be providing 20 students from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic backgrounds with bursaries to commit to an eight-week start-up placement (in Summer 2021) with one of the start-ups from the OXFO Elevate accelerator.
