ON OCTOBER 26TH, WE CELEBRATED OUR 6 SENIORS, ELLIE, GABI, MEG, COLLEEN, ZOË AND BRYNN! THESE SENIORS HAVE GONE ABOVE AND BEYOND OVER THEIR CAREERS AND HAVE SET THE PRECEDENT OF WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A MEMBER OF OHIO WESLEYAN FIELD HOCKEY! THEY HAVE LEFT A PERMANENT IMPRESSION AND WILL BE DEARLY MISSED!

IN SEASON FUN
APPLE PICKING
During Fall Break, we stepped off the field… and into the orchard! The team enjoyed the fall weather, and we had an plenty of apples to enjoy on our bus rides!
DRESS TO IMPRESS
Before our last regular season game against Wittenberg, we did a fun little “Dress to Impress” pregame photo shoot. Each player dressed up like they were celebrities with cameras on them as they go to the locker room to prepare for a big game.
HALLOWEEN PRACTICE
We had an awesome practice on Halloween! Check out some of our costumes, which one was your favorite?
PUMPKIN CARVING
We finished our Halloween Practice with some candy and Pumpkin carving! In natural competitive fashion, each team had 30 minutes to create the best pumpkin they could! There were a lot of really awesome and different designs!
COACH SEMIT’S 100TH CAREER WIN
OWUFH’s 3-0 win against Wittenberg marked Coach Semit’s 100th career win!
Coach Semit was named the 7th Head Coach in program history prior to the 2015 season, and has guided the team to an impressive 50-9 record over the past three years!
In the past few years, Coach Semit has lead the team to three NCAC Tournament Championships, two NCAC Conference Championships, three NCAA Tournament berths, a showing in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen, and multiple program and individual records. Following the conclusion of the 2024 season, Coach Semit is currently the second winningest coach in program history. She trails Harriet Stewart, the founder of the OWUFH program, by eight wins! The chase continues on in 2025!
ALUMNI GAME
Spring is just around the corner (we hope). We can’t wait to host our alumni weekend. will you be joining?
Looking forward, we will be trying to host our Alumni Weekend and Game the first weekend in April. Mark your calendars!

FUNDRAISING
Over the past few years, we have had the most amazing support from our friends, family and alumni! With your support, we were able to prepare for season better than ever with a trip to the Netherlands!
Additionally, we have been able to continuously prioritize the health of our student-athletes and minimize preventable injuries by providing new turf shoes each season (plus the locker room smells less than ever)!
Contributions to the team have also opened the door to in season travel to Massachusetts, Virginia, New York, Chicago New Jersey, Kentucky, and Tennessee!
None of these things would be possible without your continued support. We are beyond thankful to everyone who has donated to our program and believes in what we are continuing to build! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
