BRUCE POWER INTERNATIONAL WEIGH OFF OF GIANT VEGETABLES
Witness a record breaking year ! !!
Elgin’s Giant Vegetable Weigh Off is an exciting and educational event that celebrates the world of oversized vegetables and the art of gardening. Located in the picturesque town of Port Elgin, Ontario, this unique attraction draws in visitors from near and far.

The award-winning International Weigh Off of giant vegetables run on both days featuring 1,500+ pound pumpkins and squash, giant 6-pound tomatoes, 20-foot sunflowers, 150-pound watermelons and giant gourds taller than a man. Growers strive to top Guinness World Records and set Canadian records with their giant entries. “Every year I help weigh these GIANTS” states Mayor Luke Charbonneau, “I can’t believe they keep getting bigger! I think we’ll see a 2,000-pound pumpkin soon!
The event also offers the “Grow with Us’ program. Families and kids can participate in growing veggies of all shapes and sizes and have them weighed and measured in our Sunday growers’ tent!
Port Elgin’s Pumpkinfest is a celebration of nature’s wonders, showcasing the incredible potential of gardening and the bountiful harvest that can be achieved with skill and passion. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener, a curious visitor, or simply someone who appreciates the marvels of nature, this event offers a delightful experience that will leave you inspired and in awe of the world of oversized vegetables.

Port Elgin Pumpkinfest has become a beloved tradition for locals and a popular attraction for visitors from across the region. It not only celebrates the bountiful harvest season but also brings the community together in a lively and engaging way.
Are you an animal lover? This year we’re bringing back our pet show and our weekend-long petting zo.
We can’t have such a fun festival without our amazing midway!
Throughout the festival, we have a variety of talented and unique makers, vendors, and artisans. The artisan craft show is designed to highlight artisanal products made by local craftspeople.
Showcasing informative and interactive booths with mutiple “Mad Science” show to delight the whole family!
Are you bringing your little ones who aren’t quite the right age for the midway? We have lots of fun games in store for them too!
While you’re visiting Port Elgin Pumpkinfest, there is no shortage of entertainment, and this includes our Entertainment Tent. All weekend long you can find fun live entertainment in the tent!
