Sopwith Triplane Kit

Spitfire BL527 was flown by Flt Sgt Eric Carter, an RAF pilot famous for his role in helping defend Murmansk, USSR’s only port not under Nazi occupation and the largest city North of The Arctic Circle in 1941 on a mission sanctioned by Winston Churchill at Stalin’s express request. This unique model has been superbly crafted and liveried down to the last detail by Bravo Delta, among the best exponents of accurate, fine-scale model reproduction. Donald Campbell’s Bluebird K7

Hand carved from sustainable mahogany this scale replica of Bluebird K7 - the boat in which Donald Campbell broke the world speed record on water at just over 328mph - should be the pride in any collection of fine craftsmanship. Twelve weeks in the making, accurately scaled, hand-carved, beautifully detailed and immaculately finished in 35 coats of paint, the facsimile measures 13.5’’ (34cms) long on and 15’’ (38cms) base. The Sunbeam Alpine was a twoseater sports drophead coupé produced by Rootes Group from 1953 to 1955, and then 1959 to 1968. Engineer Bernard Unett, who’d worked on the Alpine programme wanted to go racing, so debuted the car at Silverstone in September 1961 but was deemed so dangerous that he wasn’t allowed to start the second race!

Caroll Shelby, a Texan pilot, was forced to stop his career in 1960 at the age of 37 due to health concerns. Thus began a dream of his to produce the ultimate American sports car, capable of competing with the likes of Ferrari and Porsche. The 427 was launched in 1965 with a redesigned chassis, widened tires, buffed up wings and a 7 litre 427 inch cube engine producing an amazing and sometimes barely manageable 410bhp.
