The 59th season opens with an epic symphonic spectacular! The audience will be spellbound with an enchanting lineup that includes Mussorgsky’s eerie Night on Bald Mountain, Paul Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, and the mysterious shrieking strings in Herrmann’s Psycho Suite, as well as the majestic themes in Brahms’ Symphony No. 1. Get ready for an unforgettable evening of musical magic that will leave you wanting more!

Tony-nominated singer, Liz Callaway, joins Troy Quinn and the Owensboro Symphony, along with the Owensboro Symphony Chorus and the Owensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra to light up the stage and fill your heart with the joyous spirit of the holiday season!

Get ready for an evening of unforgettable classical music! The show begins with Beethoven’s powerful and inspiring Egmont Overture. Thomas Hooten, Principal Trumpet of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and one of the world’s most renowned classical trumpet players, takes the stage to perform Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto. The concert continues with Haydn’s captivating Symphony No. 88 and concludes with Brahms’ Variations on a Theme by Joseph Haydn. This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the timeless beauty and artistry of classical music’s most iconic pieces.
