Spring is in full swing!

Your Lifestyle team is excited to share with you the latest edition of the Lifestyle Magazine. Inside each month’s publication, you will receive updates on the Resort Management Team, community happenings, as well as events and activities that are coming up!

Summer is approaching and your Fitness & Athletics Manager has multiple sports camps and clinics lined up to keep the kids active and engaged! Amazing Athletes is offering a week-long camp beginning in June, followed by a two-day Lacrosse Camp by Sarasota Seahawks Lacrosse Club. Youth Tennis Clinics will continue weekly on Saturdays, and all skill levels are welcome.

We’ve been homing in on our pickleball skills here at Skye Ranch with our newest instructor, Traci. Keep an eye out for our next Dinking & Serving clinics – they’re quick to fill up!

As you start planning your social calendar for the next few months, please be sure to log onto the community website and register for all events and activities that you’re interested in attending. If you registered for an activity that you are no longer able to attend, simply contact Nicole or Camille to be taken off the registration list. Registrations are important so proper accommodations can be made for our Members. If you have any suggestions or feedback on current or upcoming programs, please reach out to a member of your Lifestyle team!

Traci Dutton PICKLEBALL COACH & INSTRUCTOR

We’re pleased to introduce Traci Dutton, who is our PPR certified Pickleball Coach and Instructor. She started playing in Naples 10 years ago. Traci has captained and won several woman’s and mixed doubles tournaments. She has been teaching beginners and intermediate players for over a year.

Traci strives to make sure everyone she works with will walk away with valuable insights and skills to become better players. She focuses on technical parameters and utilizes drills that have been proven to help players improve their game. Traci has a passion for pickleball, and positive energy brings out the best in her students!

My mommy and daddy are Maryann and Mason. I also have triplet brothers, Joshua, Andrew, and Matthew.

Tell us about your breed, age and birthday.

I’m a French Bulldog and I was born on September 1, 2020. I am three and a half years old!

What is your favorite pastime?

I love chasing frisbees, swimming, meeting other dogs, barking at the UPS guy, and playing with my stuffed monkey. I also love to sleep and have my own bedroom because dad says I snore way too loudly.

What do you get reprimanded for the most?

I don’t get reprimanded much. My humans call me “good boy” so much that sometimes I think it’s my name!

Tell us about the time your humans welcomed you to their loving home.

It was a bit scary at first being away from my dog family! All the new sights, smells, and humans talking to me in high-pitched voices, but my new human family has spoiled me with love and attention every single day!

Laurie Mastrogianis, Ph.D is a clinical psychologist and founder of the STARS of Wellness. As a clinician for over 40 years, she provided therapy to adults and teens in Michigan and now via her current practice in telehealth from Sarasota. Dr. Laurie’s trademarked Stress Trauma Anxiety Recovery System (STARS) of Wellness has helped many adults, teens, couples and parents effectively navigate transformational change.

As a pioneer educator in the field of disease prevention and wellness, Dr. Laurie has helped academic institutions, parent groups, sports teams, businesses, and community groups understand the benefit of integrated whole person living. As a long-term survivor of a lifechallenging illness which had roots in her adolescence, she is a living example of the healing benefits of wellness.

Passionate about helping people live their best and healthiest lives, she believes that wellness education should be as fundamental as reading, writing, and arithmetic. She’s been married to her best friend, Steve, for over 40 years. She likes birding, biking, hiking, quality time with her family, and traveling abroad.

Steve Mastrogianis MA, LLPC is retired after 30 years of devoted care in public schools where he served as a middle school counselor, 6th grade teacher and high school teacher. He has created school programs for Bullying Education and Prevention, Conflict Resolution, Anger Management, as well as Suicide Prevention Education.

As a former professional soccer player in Canada, Steve dedicated his love for the game with over 30 years of coaching at all levels of the game. He’s passionate about making athletics an arena for learning valuable life lessons, Coach M, has a reputation for wearing

his heart on his sleeve and modeling the joy of sports to others all around the world. Steve and Dr. Laurie co-authored the book, “To the Next Level & Beyond: 7 Steps to A More Satisfying & Successful Game of Soccer” (available on Amazon). He’s a living example of the power of positivity after a spinal cord condition sidelined him from the sports arena. Now he’s committed to teaching teens, parents, educators and coaches about the key mental wellness skills that help young people win at the game of life. He’s a poet, golfer, avid reader, and world traveler.

Skye Ranch held their first installment of the series in 2024. Members learned all about the origins of gnocchi, how to prepare it from scratch, and enjoyed a cooking demonstration.
