I
would like to take a moment to thank all of our residents for your support and understanding during these unprecedented times! With many residents home, we had a significant increase in ARC applications for residents working to improve their property, and in turn, the entire community. A big thank you to our Architectural Review Committee members for working so hard to review these applications as they were coming in!
Community Growth Victoria Gardens Build Out is 1,129 and currently has a total of 1,079 homes. V.P. HOA (Commons, Hills and Trails) Build Out is 1,808 and currently has a total of 1,617 homes. Victoria Oaks Build Out is estimated to be 582 and currently has 86 homes.
Community Yard Sale The Victoria Park Community Council has made the difficult decision to cancel the Community Wide Yard Sale indefinitely. This decision was made with the community’s utmost safety in mind. There are multiple online sale options you can utilize during this time when large gatherings are still discouraged.
• We recommend using a towel or other covering when using the pool furniture. • Social Distancing must be adhered to - no gatherings of large groups. Try to keep apart from others. • Resident IDs will be required and may be requested by Management and Security Staff. Please be ready to show ID when using the amenities. Residents needing to obtain an ID can email or call the community management office for instructions. • Amenity Rentals are still restricted until further notice. • We have increased cleaning and sanitizing at all of the amenities, but please remember they are all open for use at your own risk. We ask all residents to follow CDC guidelines and practice social distancing when using these amenities. Wash your hands often. When using the fitness centers, please wipe down equipment before and after use.
Projects Update The new shade structures have been installed at the Victoria Commons Pool Deck.
Community Announcements • The Community Management Office is now open for in-person transactions. However, for the safety of residents and our staff, we will be limiting the number of people in the office. Appointments are still encouraged. We would also encourage you to utilize the drop box if you are dropping off ARC Applications, New Residents Packets, etc. Email VPCAM@Evergreen-LM.com or call 386-738-2112. • Current open amenities include, the Pools, Fitness Centers and Playgrounds in Victoria Commons, Victoria Trails and Victoria Oaks; Tennis and Pickleball Courts in Victoria Commons, as well as the Volleyball Court in Victoria Oaks (must use your own ball). • These amenities are open for resident use only. Please no guests at this time. • We recommend using gloves, masks, disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, etc. when using the amenities.

W
e want to welcome all the new residents to Victoria Park! We also want to say thank you to the residents that received the friendly reminders with understanding and support in maintaining the beauty of your homes and investments. Understanding the role of the Community Standards Administrator is to help ensure the community adheres to the covenant standards as set forth in the governing documents. If you receive a letter, the best thing you can do is to contact us so that we can assist in any way possible or offer timeline extensions if necessary. Our goal is to establish a professional relationship through communications, and commitment and caring for our residents. As we continue to grow, there may be violations we miss. In the event there is an issue you would like to report, you may do so by filing a Confidential Incident/Violation Report, which can be obtained online, or at our Community Management Office located at 525 W. Victoria Trails Boulevard. You may also call our office at 386-738-2112. Fire Prevention Week was October 4th-10th and we will soon be sending an article via eblast from Chief Allen of the DeLand Fire Department. Please remember to set your clocks one hour ahead on November 1, 2020 and if your smoke detector has a 9-volt battery, change once per year.
Safety Tips for the Fall • Do a home safety check – Have a flashlight handy that works in case of power outages.

• Make sure your fire extinguishers work and that you know where they are. • It’s always a good idea to clean out your fireplace and get serviced once a year. • Ensure your heating, ventilation and air conditioning system is running properly by calling a qualified contractor for a tune-up. The air filter in your furnace should be replaced as well. • Clean your gutters. Blocked gutters create blockages which create drainage and other problems. • Just in case Jack Frost has plans for us this year, make sure your doors and windows are tightly sealed to keep him from nipping at your nose. A simple sheet of paper can help you test for drafts. Close a door or window on a piece of paper; if the paper slides easily, you need to add some weather stripping or caulk to seal the gaps.
Wildlife Feeding Please do not feed your neighborhood birds and ducks! Although we appreciate that feeding wildlife is enjoyable, it is often not in their best interest. First, it is not healthy for them as they become dependent on people for food. The best food for wildlife is what they eat naturally.

Quiet Enjoyment
Street trees must be clear of branches 14 feet above the street surface and 8 feet above the sidewalk. These requirements are in place to ensure that large vehicles such as fire trucks, school buses, ambulances and garbage trucks are able to navigate and operate safely.
All residents are entitled to quiet enjoyment of the community. Please be courteous of your neighbors in regard to barking dogs, loud music, picking up after your pet, etc. so we can all enjoy this beautiful community!
Mailbox Upkeep

Grass Clippings Please do not blow grass clippings into the street or storm drains. Lawn clippings can also contribute to water-quality issues such as algae blooms in our waterways.
Outdoor Facilities Outdoor athletic and recreational facilities such as playscapes, swing sets, and sport courts all require approval from the Architectural Review Committee. Applications can be found on the myvictoriapark. com website, or contact staff and we can email a form to you for your community.

O
n August 18th, a part of our town was impacted by a tornado, which left 7.4 million dollars in damage. As always, the Victoria Park residents gathered up right away and donated items to those that were impacted. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for choosing kindness. We were able to donate over 40 bags to the Neighborhood Center! From August 17th-30th, residents hit the pavement and completed three active miles around our beautiful community to donate to a wonderful foundation. In just 14 days, residents raised $2,160 to the ME STRONG Foundation.
Victoria Park is also a proud Eagle Sponsor for the Warrior Kids Charity Golf Tournament, which will take place on November 7th at the Victoria Hills Golf Course. The cost for a single player is $85 and $340 for a foursome. Register online at warriorkidsfoundation.org and check out the ad on page 5.

2020 has been a powerful reminder that we are all in this together, and our choices and actions have the power to protect the most vulnerable among us in a big way. The same holds true when it comes to breast cancer. With your support, we can show every woman that her life is important. By working together, we can inspire hope and become a force for good to get her access to the care she needs. Victoria Park is donating $500 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Water Volleyball BY AMANDA FRANCIN, RESIDENT
Water volleyball is our Silver Lining! We have “restructured� our water volleyball teams for safe play during this pandemic. There is a limit of six players to a side in order to physically distance. We began playing in 2017, three days a week, and now we play Monday through Friday from 1:30pm to 4pm. On average there are 16 players, therefore, we rotate teams with plenty of supervision from Volleyball President Tom Totin. Join us to share in the fun, exercise and many laughs and giggles, or join the spectators and cheer for the players fine tuning their skills!
