Letter From the Lifestyle Team

Welcome to Summer at its Best!

As the sun shines brighter and the days grow longer, there’s no better place to soak up the season than right here in our own backyard. July and August are packed with energy, laughter, and connection— everything you’ve come to love about resort-style living. Whether you’re lounging poolside, hitting the courts, or exploring one of the fifty beaches on the Treasure Coast, summer is in full swing and we’re here to help you make the most of every moment.

We’ve got an exciting lineup of events to keep your calendar full and your spirits high! Get ready for our Independence Day “Culinary Collaboration” and SIP Wine Club Try & Buy event in July along with a 6-week Summer Boot Camp to kick it all off. Remember the carefree joy of summer camp as a kid?

We’re bringing that same spirit back—just with a grown-up twist! Our first ‘Camp Esplanade’ will be a week-long celebration of fun, friendship, and lifelong learning, designed exclusively for you. From arts and crafts workshops and culinary experiences to local excursions, friendly lawn game tournaments, and trivia, it’s all about reconnecting with your playful side, meeting new friends, and making memories that last long after summer fades.

Don’t forget about our monthly court socials or rejuvenating spa specials. This summer, there’s something for everyone and here, every day feels like a vacation!

Furry Friends

Meet Jax LOVED BY JOANN & LES BURSTEIN

If you’ve ever seen a stylish black Standard Poodle cruising around Esplanade at Tradition in a golf cart, decked out in protective eye gear, you’ve already met Jax—the undisputed boss of the Burstein household.

At eight years old, Jax isn’t just any poodle; he comes from a long line of champions, and he certainly carries himself like one. But don’t let his regal pedigree fool you—Jax has an incredible sense of humor and keeps his family, JoAnn and Les Burstein, entertained daily. Whether it’s his expressive antics or his insistence on being in the same room as everyone else, Jax knows how to steal the spotlight.

Jax is more than just a beloved companion; he’s the family’s selfappointed timekeeper. When bedtime rolls around, he makes sure everyone knows it—it’s lights out when Jax says so! And, of course, no day is complete without his favorite activity: riding through the neighborhood in his golf cart with his dad, surveying his kingdom with cute ears blowing in the wind.

With his charm, intelligence, and larger-than-life personality, Jax is truly a star in our community. If you see him on his daily ride, be sure to wave—just don’t be surprised if he gives you a look that says, “Yes, I know I’m fabulous.”

The Members of our community are truly what make this a wonderful place to live. In each edition, we will spotlight a Member, couple or family to showcase the amazing people that call our community home. If you would like to be featured or want to nominate another Member, please contact your Lifestyle Manager.

Mermaids of the Sea

Originally from Michigan, Kim and Jeff Staber made the sunny move to Florida in 2003, ready to embrace a new chapter— and warmer weather! Leaving behind the snow, but not their entrepreneurial spirit, they opened two Curves for Women franchises and dove into helping others live healthier lives.

Though they traded snow shovels for sunscreen, they still missed their flower shop business up north. To keep their passion for plants alive, they turned to landscaping here in Florida, bringing color and creativity to outdoor spaces.

Since moving to Esplanade, they’ve found a true sense of community. Kim especially enjoys the social scene—particularly at the pool— while Jeff has become a regular on the pickleball courts and golf course, making fast friends with neighbors who now share his love of the game. If you see Kim and Jeff around the neighborhood, be sure to say hello—they’re always happy to meet new friends!

National Wildlife Federation teams up with LG Electronics (LG) for an ongoing campaign to highlight vulnerable and endangered species, such as the West Indian Manatee (including its two subspecies the Florida and Antillean Manatees). Currently, the biggest threats to manatees are boat collisions and loss of their primary habitat—warm water coastal ecosystems that provide seagrass beds. Additionally, entanglement in fishing gear and toxic algal blooms are also impacting manatee populations. Test your knowledge and learn fun facts about the beloved “Mermaid of the Sea.” To learn more, visit blog.nwf. org/2025/04/manatees-the-mermaids-of-the-sea

Part of the Esplanade Lifestyle is rolling out the red carpet and giving our Members VIP access to exclusive offers and services! Unconventional Ways to Boost Your Well-Being

When we think of wellness, we often picture bubble baths, green smoothies, and morning affirmations. While those classics have their place, wellness is personal—and sometimes, it’s weird, wonderful, and wildly unexpected.

This month, we’re diving into unconventional ways to boost your well-being that just might become your new favorite rituals.

1. THE POWER OF SAYING “NO”

You’ve heard of gratitude journaling, but have you tried “No Journaling”? It’s a simple daily practice where you write down one thing you refused to do that would’ve drained your energy. Whether it’s skipping a social event out of obligation or ignoring your inner critic, every “no” is a win for your wellness.

2. COLD SPOON THERAPY (YES, REALLY)

Feeling frazzled? Pop two metal spoons in the fridge for a few minutes, then press them gently under your eyes or on your temples. The cool pressure can reduce puffiness, ease tension headaches, and give your nervous system a little reset. It’s oddly comforting— and free.

3. PET A PLANT

We know plants clean the air, but did you know touching and gently stroking leaves can lower cortisol (your stress hormone)? It’s true. Talk to them, name them, thank them—they won’t judge you. Nature therapy is real, even in a windowsill.

4. DIGITAL DECLUTTERING

Try a “mental inbox zero.” Before bed, jot down all the random thoughts, worries, and to-dos buzzing in your brain—no judgment, just a dump. You’ll sleep better, wake up more clearly, and you might even notice your dreams get more interesting.

5. DO-NOTHING DATES

Schedule time in your calendar that says exactly this: “Nothing.” Protect it like any other appointment. No errands. No catching up. No multitasking. Just you, being. This space often becomes the most creative, restorative moment of the week.

Wellness doesn’t have to come in a bottle, a class, or a checklist. Sometimes the weirdest things make us feel the most grounded. So go ahead—pet that plant, say “no,” and let yourself do nothing.

The Blood Drive is a Success!

Community isn’t just about shared spaces—it’s about shared values. Through our Esplanade Connect initiative, our Members recently came together to make a meaningful impact by donating blood with the Big Red Blood Bus. With compassion and generosity, our neighbors rolled up their sleeves to support those in need—proving once again that this community is full of heart. Every donation helps save lives, and we couldn’t be prouder of the turnout and spirit of service shown. Thank you to everyone who participated. Your contribution truly makes a difference!

The Healing Power of the Amethyst Gemstone Mat

Tucked away in our tranquil treatment room is a spa experience that feels part science, part magic: the Amethyst Gemstone Mat.

More than just a luxurious surface to lie on, this mat is infused with crushed amethyst crystals and advanced technology designed to promote deep relaxation, healing, and rejuvenation.

Curious? Here’s why your body and mind might just thank you for trying it.

CRYSTAL CALM: NATURAL STRESS RELIEF

Amethyst is known for its calming energy—and when used in a heated mat, it’s like wrapping yourself in a gentle energetic hug. Guests often report a deep sense of peace and clarity, as the mat helps melt away tension, anxiety, and mental clutter.

FIR TECHNOLOGY: HEAT THAT HEALS

The mat delivers far infrared (FIR) heat, which penetrates deeper than standard heating pads. This gentle warmth increases circulation, soothes sore muscles and joints, and supports detoxification at a cellular level. Unlike surface heat, FIR works from the inside out—so it keeps working long after your session ends.

NEGATIVE IONS: A BREATH OF FRESH AIR

When activated, the amethyst crystals in the mat release negative ions, similar to what you’d experience near waterfalls or after a

THE SPA

thunderstorm. These ions help purify the air, boost serotonin, and may even support better sleep and clearer thinking.

IMMUNE & ENERGY BOOST

Many users describe feeling “lighter,” more energized, and even experience fewer aches and seasonal issues with regular use. It’s a gentle nudge to the body’s natural healing systems—without needing to lift a finger.

IT’S LIKE A NAP ON A CRYSTAL CLOUD

Whether you add it to a massage, enjoy it solo, or use it during a guided meditation, the mat turns any session into a restorative escape. Some guests say it’s the best sleep they’ve had in ages— others just float out of the spa with a sparkle in their eye.
