Letter From the Lifestyle Team
KAITLYN ALDRIDGE YOUR LIFESTYLE MANAGER

It’s Sunshine Season
With April showers come May flowers. As we head into a sunny summer here at Esplanade Lake Club, we are looking forward to all that is to come with May and June. Summer is the perfect time to get out on the water, soak up the sunshine by the Resort pool, or slow down and just enjoy the summer breeze.
May and June are filled with opportunities to meet and mingle with your friends and neighbors. We will be trying new things like sewing, mingling at the Member Mingler, making gifts for mom for Mother’s Day and, of course, celebrating Memorial Day. As we welcome summer in June, we will be saying goodbye to school and having some fun poolside with our families and friends. We definitely won’t forget about dad this Father’s Day as well as cooling down with an ice cream social and movie night.
One of the best things about Esplanade Lake Club is that there are so many Members with different interests and hobbies. If you have a particular interest that you would like
to share with your friends and neighbors, we have multiple opportunities to become a club leader.
All you have to do is share your interest with your Lifestyle team and they will assist with getting your club started by getting you the interest group and club information packet, assisting with choosing dates and times that work best for your group, and by helping promote it to all of the Members of the community. The variety of clubs are endless; let’s build a great social program together!
As you review the upcoming activities and events on the interactive calendar, please remember to register for any events and activities you would like to attend. This helps tremendously in making sure all activities are executed flawlessly and all who sign up to attend are accommodated.
Marina Garcia
YOUR LIFESTYLE CONCIERGE
It’s very nice to meet you all, my name is Marina. I was originally born in New York and stayed there for a couple years. I moved from Arizona about 15 years ago to Florida, where I have been ever since. I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, with a minor in advertising.
I enjoy a variety of activities and hobbies, such as painting, poetry, reading, kayaking occasionally, and being in nature. I am also very into health and beauty. I like providing a welcoming environment for everyone to feel accepted.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends when I can. I have a one-year-old daughter and love spending time with her and doing activities with her! It will be nice getting to know all of the Members here at the beautiful Lake Club!

Len & Jessy Sturm
The Members of our community are truly what make this a wonderful place to live. In each edition, we will spotlight a Member, couple or family to showcase the amazing people that call our community home. If you would like to be featured or want to nominate another Member, please contact your Lifestyle Manager.

Len moved to Naples from New York nine years ago and then moved into Esplanade Lake Club a year and a half ago. He also has a house in Aruba, which is where he met his wife, Jessy. Len retired after a long career at KPMG as an audit partner and is currently on the Board of Directors for one of Florida’s largest public companies located in Jacksonville, as well as one of Aruba’s largest companies. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, golf, traveling, community activities and dining out. Since March 2024, he has been on the Board of Directors for the ELC Homeowners Association, along. He is the Board liaison for the homeowners on the Transition Committee to prepare the community for turnover of the HOA from the Developer to the Members, which is currently anticipated to occur on September 30, 2025. Len’s goal is to use his expertise and past experiences on other HOA Boards to assist the community in achieving a smooth transition.
Jessy is a nurse, an occupational health professional and manages the residential rental property we own in Colombia. They love it here and regularly use the gym, tennis courts, and other clubhouse facilities, including the restaurant and pool. They have also attended and enjoyed most community functions. For them, the ELC lifestyle is close to paradise. They look forward to meeting more great friends.

FEATURE YOUR FURRY FAMILY MEMBER
Contact your Lifestyle Manager to be featured in the next edition of the Lifestyle Magazine. Answer a few questions about your furry, feathery, or scaly friend and share a couple pictures. Don’t have a furry family member of your own, but know a community Member who does? Nominate them to be the next Featured Furry Friend. Contact the Member to suggest the feature or your Lifestyle Manager to nominate anonymously.

Furry Friends
Meet Dublin
LOVED BY SPIKE & DEBRA CLAUSMAN
What is your pet’s name, breed, age and birthday?
Dublin is a mini golden doodle we rescued in South Florida before moving to Fort Myers. She is three years old and her birthday is February 27, the same as her human brother, Sam!
What is your pet’s favorite treat and pastime?
Dublin’s favorite treats are bananas, animal crackers and potato chips. She LOVES to watch animated movies with dogs in them and play with her friends at the Bark Park; shout out to Cali, Rock, Coco, Archie, Sandy, Snow, Lincoln and many more of her furry friends!
Tell us one special thing about your pet?
We love so many things about Dublin, but what we love the most is how silly and cuddly she is. There is nothing she loves more than belly rubs every second of the day!
Anything else you want us to know about your pet?
Dublin loves her car, aka the family golf cart, and cruising around on the weekends with the family. She also enjoys swimming and chasing the construction trucks in the neighborhood!

Create a Certified Wildlife Habitat®

You don’t need acres of land to support wildlife—a small container garden can make a big impact! The National Wildlife Federation offers tips for creating native plant container gardens that attract pollinators, perfect for balconies, decks, courtyards, or even window boxes. We recommend you use a combination of many planters in your container garden. The more containers you have, the more native plants you can include! Plus, you can use various sizes, heights, and styles of pots which add visual interest. For more information and how to get started, visit www.nwf.org/ContainerGarden
